Palace Hotel

From the moment of our arrival at the Palace Hotel we knew we would have a great experience. Our reception was warm, really helpful and full of advice about amenities. The style is typically old classic Italian and family run. The rooms are very comfortable, comfy beds and well equipped bathrooms. The breakfast buffet was really good. The staff were so warm and helpful. The beach is literally across the road and has a really good restaurant associated with the hotel . There’s help desk for booking loungers etc. A high point of our stay was dining in the rooftop Blu Bar. The dining is elegant and the cuisine is excellent- the service was both warm and really efficient. It was the highlight of our stay in Viareggio. We stayed for 3 nights but hope to return next year for a longer stay!

Wonderful old world art deco hotel that makes you feel comfortable and at home. Nice furnishings, artwork, and multiple comfortable seating areas for relaxing. Excellent breakfast provided with table service. Well trained waiters and food was prepared fresh. Much superior to the normal buffet style breakfast you get at most European hotels. The room we had was nicely furnished with an easy chair, an antique desk and wardrobe. Modern updated bathroom was a real joy. The evening restaurant served us a late meal (9:30 pm) that was excellent.

There was nothing that we did not like. We would highly recommend this hotel to our friends.

Hotel is in an excellent location on the esplanade and very close to the beach. The beach facilities which the hotel has an arrangement with are superb, and just across the road from the hotel. The hotel itself has fabulous public rooms and an impressive roof terrace. Breakfast is very good, everything a guest could ask for, and served in a beautiful dining room. Reception staff could not be more helpful.

We found this hotel to be outstanding - excellent location, directly opposite the beach and in the centre of viareggio. The rooms were tasteful, with fantastic facilities. We were very well looked after staff were super helpful. The breakfast and restaurant were stunning and the rooftop was gorgeous with the most wonderful view - superb.

Beautiful historic building in a fabulous location. The staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The reception staff recommended and booked fantastic restaurants for us and were very helpful in dealing with our child who was unwell and needed to see a doctor.

Breakfast was fantastic! Lovely building and amazing staff, especially the breakfast-team, hats off to them!

The beach in the city was completely enclosed and had to be paid quite a high price for if you wanted to use it. Very unfamiliar for a norwegian to pay for using the ocean.

Grand old seaside hotel in the pretty city of Viareggio. Great location on the wonderful Promenade. Easy access to the many shops and restaurants along the beachfront. Very cordial and helpful front desk staff. Loved the full complimentary breakfast after the multiple buffets along our journey. Don't think you could do much better for accommodations in beautiful Viareggio. .

View from roof top, complimentary water every day, breakfast fantastic. Seaview, new bathrooms very nice, extremely clean. Fridge in room wasn’t working and immediately got changed. Spacious room. Restaurant staff wonderful!

Internet wasn’t working well, kept cutting off. Headboard was uncomfortable couldn’t rest on it.

Great seafront location and fantastic views from roof top bar.Good cocktails but pricey. Comfortable bed and amazing terrace with sunbeds-pity it was rainy!

Breakfast slow and inefficient.Would be better having some self service area.Women wheeling trolleys around with food and drinks and all a bit chaotic.

The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating. The room was nice and functional, the bathroom was modern and worked great - very small shower stall but worked great. Awesome location and their beach club was fun.
