Hotel Excelsior

Very well located, Staff at reception are very nice, helpful and have excellent English. Quite some choices at breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom has a bath/shower that looked a bit outdated and could only be used as a shower, but that was totally fine. Quiet at night and safe location,

Wifi was a little bit strange as there was a need to open a browser window to ensure login each time we reconnect to it. Once connected it was fine.

Excelsior by name and nature! Excellent hotel, well managed and looked after beautifully. Despite being dated very well looked after, original artworks on the walls, fresh sheets, curtains etc. whirlpool bath and balcony. Additionally staff very helpful and professional, esp when I was delayed by travel problems.

Air conditioning - you need to ask reception for the pump to be switched on

The place is absolutely amazing. I enjoyed breakfast, my room was clean, the location is very comfortable, because it is close to everything. I was surprised that absolutely everything in my room might not being super new, but very well maintained, everything was working.The staff is very nice, Fabio and the lady who replace him in the morning were very friendly and kind.

Traditional hotel located in the town center, with its own parking, that we appreciated. Good continental breakfast in a nicely decorated dining room.

Strangely enough, the hotel seems short of cutlery. At breakfast, no knives, spoons, plates, etc, were available when we arrived, and we had to wait some time for the staff to wash the eating utensils used by guests having had breakfast earlier. After that, it was a OK: an enjoyable meal with a lot of choice.

I really enjoyed this stay. Here is what I like: 1. Location is very close to center, yet in the quite street. Not noisy. 2. Safe place to keep my e-bike. 3. Polite and helpful staff. 4. Very big room. 5. Very comfortable bed! 6. Fast internet. 7. Large bathroom. 8. Low price comparing to other venues.

The room was clean, quiet, and the parking was very convenient. Good breakfast. Location was good, although Monfalcone is a quiet little town, with not much to see or do.

Very little to see or do in Monfalcone, but it was a convenient stay, not far from Trieste.

Breakfast was really nice. room was clean and quiet. It has covered parking available, and host was friendly. City center was on walking distance. From this location, you can go by car to Duino and Sistiana. Wi-fi internet worked fine, but you have to request it at the front desk.

The hotel is well situated. We had a lovely big room and a bathroom. The breakfast was great - so much choice! The staff were really friendly and helpful. The coffee from the bar was amazing!

We got very late, so late check in was possible. We also got our own parking place, even though it was very tight to squeeze into it. Room was very comfortable, bathroom nice as well. Breakfast was really good and well worth the price.

A bit difficult to locate.

The location is excellent and the hotel advice for avoiding ZTL area was very helpful. The hotel has private secured parking garage. The staff was kind and very polite. The room and its bathroom were large and comfortable.

Someone have smoken in the room and the smell hasn't gone until morning. The breakfast was very poor due to the bad managing. It started at 7 o'clock and when we came at 7.30 almost everything have dissapeared from the buffet bar.
