Grand Hotel Oriente

Very good location since the hotel is in the city centre and 2 minutes walk to the metro.

Price is a little higher than average in napoli.

rooftop bar and restaurant/ breakfast area was lovely. all staff were very friendly and professional and very helpful. Great central location next to Toledo

room a little tired and worn

The hotel is lovely , located 2 minutes from Via Toledo metro station, very close to everywhere - the port , historical center .via Toledo , markets and more. This location helps to see the city and still i was able to be at the hotel to rest/change clothes and more. the view from the 9th floor for breakfast was great with the Naples port the staff at the reception was super friendly and assisted with every question

i think they should pay attention more to cleaning the room for example : 1. the espresso machine i got wasn't too clean - cleaned it myself 2. when i used the machine they didn't change the cups/ cleaned them - one of the cups was dirty from coffee for 3 days and they didn't clean/change and it was with coffee stains - so i used plastic cups 3. they didn't replace or changed dirty towels - just folded them

The location at. the edge of via Toledo was excellent, for shopping, for access to Quartieri Spagnoli etc. The dining room on the 9th floor, the rooftop of the hotel was very well appointed and offered very good views of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius. The breakfast was very good, sufficient and of good quality. The room was good, roomy and with all necessary amenities. The view outside was unattractive since we overlooked the inner courtyard on the backside of the hotel.

One of the porters who brought our luggage to the room was rather rude because I did not have enough smaller coins but was only left with larger banknote. The appearance of the reception hall and the reception area itself was unappealing for a hotel of this caliber.

location and cleanliness

one day, my friend and I were stuck in the elevator for several minutes. I pressed the alarm button but nothing happened. After pressing all sorts of buttons, the elevator finally opened. I went to the reception desk to inform them of the incident. 3 of them were looking at the computer while I stood there waiting . Not one person bothered to pay any attention to me so in the end, I left. When I rated this hotel and told them about the attitude of front desk, I was given a 5% voucher on my next return which I thought was a kind gesture.

The location and room cleanliness. With the metro next door, it was very easy to move around the city. There's a busy shopping area with street food just outside the hotel, which is a huge plus. The funicolare (cable cars) stop is also near by.. You won't have any trouble going around from this hotel.

The breakfast buffet is limited, and for 2 days I saw hair next to the serving utensils on the buffet tables. The foot itself was clean, but once you see that your appetite shuts down. Some of the reception staff didn't seem very welcoming, but the breakfast staff were wonderful everyday. The room we got was old compared to the pictures on booking.com. The carpeting and walls had stains over them, but the room was kept perfectly clean, kudos to housekeeping!

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The star of the show is the rooftop bar - which is a lovely and elegant retreat - from the bustle of the city. This is also where one has breakfast. The views over the city to the sea, islands and of course Vesuvius were astonishing. The bedroom was a good size with excellent bathroom and a balcony - where you could take in the vibe, but with doors closed it was quite. The location is excellent next to Toledo Metro station (4 stops to the central staion) although you do appear to descend into the centre of the earth! It is a short walk (20 mins) to the Archaelogical Museum in one direction and the Port in the other - handy if you choose to visit Procida or Ishcia. So glad to have stayed here - we will be back.

the location was great a 100 m from the metro stop and plenty of restaurants around. The staff were terrific, especially Enzo (wait staff) who could not have been more helpful, terrific!

They need to put protectors on the feet of the chairs in the restaurant as the room was really great and very quiet except for the sound from the chairs in the restaurant that reverberated thru the floor into the room. This would be easily fixed by using protectors on the base of each chair leg.

This hotel is in a very central and convenient location of Napoli, near Via Toledo, perfect for reaching all the main attractions, and for exploring. It's always exceptionally pleasant and welcoming to come back to, after a long hot day...or several times a day! The roof terrace ristorante/dining room is like a mesmerising 360° backdrop which can distract you from eating your breakfast (which is also superb) - and at night it's another scene completely - equally mesmerising. I love everything about this piece of paradiso. I stayed twice this time because my flight was cancelled, so I came back and the wonderful Salvatore did everything he could to allocate me a gorgeous room (as always) and was exceedingly generous, for which I'm very grateful. All the staff are exceptionally attentive, welcoming, friendly and professional - throughout the hotel - the gorgeous Veronica who cleaned my room - and all the staff - so many but including Concetta, Mimmo, Irene, Paola, Ciro, Marco, Rosario, Teresa, Massimo - and of course Salvatore. I have stayed here 3 times and each time feels more divine than the last.

Perfect location, peaceful and comfortable to sleep, superfriendly staff and great food both at breakfast and dinner. The restaurant is located on the 9th floor with a lot of terrace tables!

The only small thing was that the bathroom was not as high level (fancy) as the other parts of the hotel. Even though it was still clean and perfectly functional. Good water pressure in the shower though!
