Hotel Villa Romana

The hotel is lovely located at the wide, sandy beach. One can make long walks from there. The sea is shallow in this place. The pool is clean and beach facilities: deckchairs and umbrellas are easily accessible around the pool and at the beach. I wanted to sightsee so we did not use the hotel restaurant. We ate breakfasts for four days and we were not bored with them. I liked fruit juices and cereals with yoghurt. I am not used to cakes for breakfast but there was really a large choice of cakes and the ones I tried were good. I am happy to have visited the real Vigata.

There is obviously a problem with the air-condition and ventilation in the hotel - they are loud and need renovation. The room was not exactly what I saw in the photos.

The food was excellent, very good value for money, with a lot of fresh fish and seafood options. The cleaning staff is very good and thorough. The general facilities and proximity to the beach were good.

The beds were very uncomfortable and the restaurant had very limited/late opening hours which are not ideal for families with young kids, with no options in between.

This was a good base for exploring the area. We stayed 3 nights in a room with a very marginal sea view, though others have better so specify you want a full view in your booking! Easy access to the beach. The restaurant is well priced and food was excellent. Very nice house and restaurant staff.

The reception staff could do with some charm training

Staff were friendly and helpful. I had a boil on my foot caused by the extreme heat and forgetting to put sunscreen on my feet. On more than one occasion, staff went out of their way to get ice for me to bring down swelling. Very appreciative!

All positive but my sons would have appreciated making the pool hours a little longer in the evening.

Needed to rent a car poor restaurant and supermarket facilities within walking distance. Would benefit from a supermarket with all facilities close by otherwise could not fault property

Perfect location, with a choice of sitting at the pool or walking out directly onto the beach. One tip, bring swim-shoes as a bit rocky for swimming access, unless you walk further up the beach. Had dinner in the hotel and it was lovely. Good size bathroom - very good shower. Good options at breakfast.

2nd time visiting this lovely hotel which is literally on the beach and this is very much appreciated when travelling with children. The room was very clean and the breakfast was simple but very fresh and very tasty. The staff working at this hotel are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was working on the exterior terrace which is situated next to the pool. It did not bother us directly, as the workers were super quiet and tidy however I would have expected such works to be done earlier on during the year not during the start of the summer season, We hope to be able to enjoy the terrace during our next visit.

There are not good lodging choices in greater Agrigento, and this property may be at or near the top, but it’s a step down from what one might expect. The stroll down to the Turkish Stairs is pleasant, and the pool and beach are fine, but the property shows its age and you can’t help noticing.

The staff is neither happy nor engaging. There is no customer service attitude from management on down. Sad.

Hotel is located by the beach and has pool and private beach area with sunbeds. Breakfast has good variety. Rooms are nice and comfy, we got a room with super large terrasse with sunbeds, which was very nice.

Parking by the hotel has an extra charge and cost 10 eur per day. Water pressure in showers is not very good during peak hours.

Very easy and flexible staff. Clean and nice place.

Due pre season the Pool and out side area wasn't prepared. Cold eggs for breakfast.
