Hotel Costazzurra Museum & Spa

My wife and I loved Hotel Costazzurra because it was like spending three nights in paradise. The staff provided first rate services in all respects. Fabio and Ricardo were exceptional in every possible way. They carried our suitcases to our room, arranged for hotel shuttle transfers to the Valley of Temples and to downtown Agrigento, provided us with helpful information regarding the locations of the supermarket, pharmacy, and restaurants. and answered our many questions about Sicily. The room was very comfortable with excellent air conditioning which is a great relief in the Sicilian summer. Dinner at the restaurant was a remarkable outside dining experience featuring delicious Sicilian food and a DJ that played both Italian and English language music including many Frank Sinatra songs. The hotel also offers a complementary breakfast 0700 until 1030 each morning featuring an excellent selection of hot and cold food choices. The swimming pool was wonderful with crystal clear water, plenty of chase lounges, pleasant music that was similar to the restaurant, a waiter to serve food and drink and Italian landscaping that was simply breath taking. The hotel also offers free parking which is a big plus in Sicily. I highly recommend Hotel Costazzurra and we will definitely stay here again should we ever have the good fortune of visiting Sicily again.

Everything was perfect. There were no shortcomings.

perfect location for visiting the Valley of the Temples. we were given a room upgrade with a jacuzzi on the balcony which the kids loved! check in staff were super friendly and made time to explain.

pillows were really flat, walls rather thin. felt like our neighbours were actually in the same room…. we were very tired after a 30 hour journey so it didn’t affect us too much. person at desk on day of checkout was not very attentive. guests had to wait a long time for the attendant to stop chatting. a better checkout process or more staff at 11am would be recommended especially as we were in a big hurry to catch a tour.

A lovely hotel with very friendly staff, particularly the barman and"Super" Mario in the restaurant.The room was nice with a jacuzzi on the large balcony.The receptionist was great too, giving lots of advice about the area. There was a welcome prosecco on arrival too! We also used the restaurant and the food was very tasty. The excellent buffet breakfast was also served there.

My only gripe was the noise in our room. We felt that the noises from the room next door were very loud. The people were just chatting and moving around their room but it sounded like they were actually in our room! Also both mornings we were there, around 6:30am there was a big bang and a regular knocking noise which went on for ages and we could not sleep through it.

Staff were wonderful & accommodating. Quick, easy check in. Parking in a secure carpark across the street from the hotel. Basic, but very clean rooms. Wonderful to have a little fridge and super to find water & a bottle of Prosecco in there too! Great bathrooms, power shower with toasty hot water. Breakfast across the courtyard. Good coffee and buffet offerings. On checkout we said in passing them we didn't drink the prosecco in the room they gave us a bottle of wine to take with us! Lovely touch! many thanks!

Having to pay to use the spa... it's just a small plunge pool & sauna etc. Anywhere else this would be free as part of the hotel's offerings.

The room was cleaned everyday.

What I did not like about the breakfast was the fact that we were not allowed to serve ourselves - we were obliged to say what we wanted and be served. I do not find this logical - as it is a breakfast buffet, let us choose and serve ourselves. Just an example - there was a cake placed on the buffet table, just in front of me, and I was not allowed to touch it. I had to say I wanted the cake and the servers assisted with it. I find this ridiculous!!! For the room - no body lotion and hair conditioner provided. There was only a shampoo and some little soaps which is not enough, especially for a woman.

The hotel was easy to find and has its own car park. The code for the car park was sent to us in advance. The rooms and beds were very comfortable for our one night stay. The four of us dined in the hotel restaurant. Although the menu was not extensive the food was delicious and we enjoyed the live music in the background. The waiter was very helpful in translating the menu for us. We sat outside for dinner. Breakfast was inside and although buffet style we had to go up to the main table and request our choices from the server. Fortunately she was able to speak many languages! At check out we said we were driving on to the Valley of the Temples and the receptionist gave us lots of useful tips for a very enjoyable visit. He also told us to take the lift up to the first floor with our cases as this was on the same level as the car park which saved us hauling them up a steep slope. We found all the staff so helpful in this hotel. We were sorry that we did not have time to experience the pool or the beach.

Breakfast was great, and our server was tremendous. The shuttle to Agrigento was wonderful. The front desk staff were particularly great, helping us with a late check-out and making suggestions of nearby beaches and restaurants. I was surprised the pool and parking were across the street from the hotel and the beach availability is only during certain months. However, the staff was so great, I would recommend this hotel highly.

Friendly hotel, within walking distance from the (very busy) sea front with many restaurants. We used the electric car charging facility in the private parking lot over night, very nice service. And used the Wellness, very pleasant. Breakfast was extensive, a fine selection of food and fruits. Nice location for a visit to the Valle dei Templi, Agrigento and the beach.

The museum bit was really a few pieces of rock. Otherwise, no complaints at all.

We spent one night in the hotel. The room was good size, very clean and nicely decorated with 'towel-art' on the bed. It is overall good value for money. The staff was very attentive and supporting all our requests. Parking was across the street and we found it better than previous reviews. No concerns in crossing the street, while paying decent attention. The Tesla Destination Charger made us select the hotel If you are here to visit Valley of the Temples, I would suggest to do a late afternoon/evening visit as sunset is very nice.

Breakfast was a decent choice, but we did not feel comfortable in the dining room. All people in one group next to us was coughing continuously so we decided to move out. Room looks crowded with no real ventilation. There is a nice terrace outside that could be used during the covid pandemic.

Breakfast was great, the staff though were just wonderful, very helpful, and just made us feel like we were their friends. Room was a great size, clean, bed was very comfortable. We didn’t use the pool but it looked lovely and really was the best pizza from the restaurant in town.
