Hotel Aliai

Lovely little hotel right in front of the Tourist port of Sciacca. The town is pronounced Tshakka by the way and not Skiakka. We booked the double room with balcony on the top floor and it was superb for its price. Kingsize bed, spacious room and big balcony overlooking the marina. Lovely in the evening and morning. Nice fridge too. A short walk took us to the commercial port which was very interesting in the evening when they bring in their catches. Fish sold on the dock. The hotel is close to 3 restaurants along the port front. We used the hotel as a base to visit the coast areas eastwards towards Agrigento including Sicily's answer to the White Cliffs of Dover. We had a fantastic lunch at Siculana Marina in the hotel in front of a lovely sandy beach on the way back. The breakfast in the morning was first class and had a bit of everything including my favourite - anchovies!!

Location, view from my second-floor room. Josephine, the manager, was excellent and a joy to talk to and work with. She made good recommendations for places to go, photograph, and eat. Breakfast was just right for me. A good combination of fresh pastries, meat, cheese and freshly squeezed juice.

Unfortunately, there was not the best view from my balcony as construction was going on for a new road and piazza in front of the hotel. that was just a matter of timing and not the hotels fault.

Sciacca is a lovely lively town situated on a hill on the coast. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well equipped, staff was super friendly and very attentive. Breakfast offered a wide selection of fruits, cakes and others. Parking was possible next to the hotel. To reach the city centre, we had to climb some 200 stairs which was a good exercise before the dinner with a nice sea view all the way.

The street became were noisy in the evening while there were numerous bars offering streetfood. On the other hand, it felt very pleasant and it didn’t disturb while windows were closed.

on arrival in the afternoon the street looked a bit shabby but in the evening they block it off and the wine bar and brew-pub put out tables on the street and it is quite pleasant. lots of stairs up to the center of town but there is no real reason to go up there as there are great restaurants at the harbor level close to the hotel.

Everything inside was great. We were made to feel really welcome. Breakfast was beautiful. Room very clean. Parked right outside.

The construction project going on outside wrecked the view of the harbour which was a shame as everything else was so nice. This was a hard review to do and we did enjoy our stay but we were there for just one night. I think the works would have upset me if I were there for a holiday.

Easy safe parking (on street outside front door), Giusy had great tips and discount on local seafood restaurants (that's why one visits Sciacca!). Comfortable rooms, a lovely breakfast was served including cakes made onsite. Will be a great view of harbour again from room when current port construction is completed. Highly recommended stay 👍

The hotel is near the harbor and one has a nice view from the room on the area with the yachts. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Try to get the room on the second floor with the terrace. Nice to sit outside late in the evening. After about 8pm the street of the hotel becomes closed for traffic and several trattoria, bars and wine bars transform the street in a large terras crowded with people (locals and Italian tourists alike). The atmosphere is great and the quality of food and drinks is also very good.

No thing to complain about!

The staff were very kind and recommended and excellent fish restaurant nearby with delicious food and very good prices. The room had more space than expected. The location was very good - not too central, but close to the center and also close to some beaches (we did not want to use car)

Italy has amazing bread and cheese. Breakfast included only toast bread and processed cheese. Cakes were excellent though, we also loved the fruits and juices. If you want a quiet room, do not choose sea view, there is a road in front of the hotel and we had some construction going on.

Great location in the marina, just next to the harbour. Walking distance from the centre. Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast. Nice and comfortable room with good wifi. Parking available.

Nothing to complain about. Would be very happy to stay again in this nice hotel.

Staff were excellent. Room was cleaned to a very high standard every day. Breakfast was good.

We were disappointed in the room as it was dark with a very small window. We would have booked a room on the opposite side of the hotel had we realised. Drink making facilities in the room would have been welcome if possible. They may not have been supplied due to Covid regualations.
