Melqart Hotel

The staff were absolutely amazing, every one of them!! 10+++!! I’m traveling alone, so this is super important to me!! They were caring, kind, warm, helpful, supportive, engaging, and informative with recommendations of places to eat, and see. All recommendations ~ Fabulous! The staff exuded hospitality! The morning I was departing to walk to the bus, the owner came in and offered me a ride. How gracious! This is how I find Sicilians ~ Wonderful people!!! The hotel: lovely room, comfortable bed, great linens, hot shower, excellent breakfast!, wonderful coffee!!, great location by the sea. Great value!! I loved it, and will return! My highest recommendations to the Melqart!! 🫠

There is a vacant older building across the street from the front of the hotel. Some may find this less than desirable. ** I did not! Someday that building may be refurbished, as many are in Sicily. The Italians are so resourceful in restoring the old into something viable. That is my hope for the building, so it holds some charm and possibility.

It was great to have either free parking at front of hotel or in a parking lot at the rear for a cost of 5 Euros per night. The staff were all very helpful and the desk staff had good english. The breakfast room was just perfect with a good selection for breakfast. Room was large with a King + sized bed and very comfy. Hotel was very clean throughout.

Would have liked to have had tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Very modern hotel. Very clean. Exceptionall friendly front desk staff. Giuseppe and the other young lady were very friendly and helpful. Free Parking in front of the hotel or paid at the back. Wireless was of good strength in the room.

The location is below the city centre. The first day I climbed 107 steps and was exhausted. But there's another round about way with less steps..lack of toiletries is a shame for such a great hotel. It had only a bottle of some cheap shampoo. No soap, no shower cap that goes for a 4 star hotel. Then the breakfast was just simple.

After other not really nice experience on Sicily, this hotel was like a miracle. Everything great, new, modern, comfortable. Very friendly staff, especially the gentleman with lovely Irish accent who was waiting for me to make late check in.

Especially nice staff. Extensive breakfast. Super room, bed and bath. And I got a balcony. Great fish restaurant virtually next door. Adequate and close parking.

Very close to the Port, but a little distance to the main part of the town.

Absolute amazing, helpful, friendy staff, super nice room, clean bathroom, very comfortable bed! The breakfast was over the top, everything was fresh, variety of food!

Beautiful appointed rooms very stylish. Guisseppe was great to deal with definitely a little gem of a place.

Can't think of anything only a one night stay.

Very nice Staff - excellent privat parking - few nice restaurants around - only 260 steps away from the center/historical town, to keep you in shape ;)
