Crystal Hotel Varese

This hotel was surprisingly better than the photos on booking.com, lobby furniture even looks better in real life. Excellent air-conditioning in the room which saved my life during the heatwave. Big room with fridge. Excellent blinds - dark for sleeping. Next to laundromat. Staff very accommodating. Close to the centre only 200m away, easy walk from train station.

The lobby needs to be air-conditioned for both staff and waiting customers. Suggest replacing the public toilet paper dispensers with real toilet paper.

It's a very typical intercity hotel in Italy. The location is wonderful, it's just a few steps to great restaurants and a nice place to walk at night. If you walk up the hill there is a fantastic Museum.

It's a downtown hotel so there is no parking, but the hotel is very clear about that. There is not much charm but is very functional. Nothing really notable.

Excellent , friendly staff . Immaculately clean , comfortable,spacious rooms . Excellent breakfast. Close to restaurants , old town and cathedral .

Parking - difficult to find as street parking in demand . Very few hotel spaces .

The property is clean and cozy.. recommendable hotel. definitely going back.. hotel is near to almost everything..

I just didn’t like the set up of the beds. I requested for a COT for my 2year old son because I was already expecting that the bed will not be beside the wall. I requested a cot so that my son can sleep there so I don’t have to worry every minute at night if he will fall because my son travels around the bed. 😅 unfortunately, we come to a room with 1 double bed and a single sofa bed.. I was expecting a COT, not a single sofa bed.

Very delicious breakfast, nice and helpful personnel, clean room, hall, working lift.

Side bed lamp did not work. We booked a room, that was small but in fact relatively cheap, but only due to the fact that we avail ourselves of the special promotion for four days. A normal price, at least during international fair in Milano, was unreasonably high for such a small room.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and great value. The room was exactly as described and the staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. This is an ideal location to stay in Varese with a v short walk to the centre.

There were not many plugs in the room and some of the plugs differed from others.

This was an older property that at one time was rated 4 stars. Internet was good. Limited television channels. In a two room adjoining apartment only one television had programs. Both apartments had full baths. One of the apartment the bath was draining very slow.

The location is suitable if travel by public transportation - close to train station, bus stops. Also old part of the city is in a minute walk, restorants, etc.. Good sound isolation between rooms.

Facilities in the bathroom did not work properly - sink gets stuck in seconds, water goes away when you turn crane off; toilet seat Place is not fixed properly. When it was rain and jalousie was open water comes into the room through the closed window. Lounge for smoking is located Next door to the hotel entrance, what is teenagers' attractive point, every day and night could be noise because of them.

Perfect place, staff very nice and efficient. The room was beautiful, all wooden and huge. Very quiet too. The breakfast is very complete, nothing to say.

We arrived earlier to be able to park in the private parking, but the 4 or 5 parking spaces were already booked by other customers. We didn't know we had to book them in order to have one, we thought "fist arrived first served", as usual. We spent a lot in the city parking.

The location is perfect for an overnight stay when traveling to Italy further down south. There's some great bars and restaurants nearby at walking distance, and a bit of ambiance in the streets so you don't feel isolated. We were happy that our rooms were not on the street-side, so we didn't hear any noise from the bar below the hotel. Breakfast was incredible, especially for Italy. Bacon, eggs, good coffee, a selection of pastry and cakes, orange juice, etc.

One small negative: the fridge in both our rooms was broken. Luckily the receptionist was very friendly and offered to put our perishables in the bar fridge downstairs.
