Apa Hotel Aomori-Eki Kencho-Dori

Lawson's right across the street. Walking distance to everything. From the Furukawa Fish Market, grocery store, bakery, boutiques and even a knife shop...we did a lot of shopping. Aomori station, A Factory and Nebuta Museum was a little further but walkable. We had a nice view of the city. Spacious room, really large TV and comfortable bed for a Japan hotel.

The step up to the bathroom was a little steep. Due to my arthritis in my knee, I had some difficulty going up and down. Would be hard for elderly or people with physical ailments.

Good location close to the restaurants and bars in Aomori central district. It is a budget-friendly property which you can use for getting better the great Aomori city and prefecture. The most distinctive feature is, perhaps, the complimentary video on demand service.

Streets around the hotel were soaked with water due to melted snow. And I think the books that APA hotel displays on their rooms may be provocative to some guests.

Bed was comfortable, rooms were clean, location was great. Price was fantastic

I would have liked onsite parking and laundry. Be careful with the neighborhood parking lots, some have reasonable prices and some are very very expensive. One night we paid 700 yen, the next night we paid 8400 yen. Be sure to read/translate the signs carefully

- size of the room was good for a single traveller - was pleasantly surprised when they offered to change my room to a non smoking room as it was previously fully booked. Was happy that they had remembered my request for a non smoking and changed it prior to me checking in - convenient lawson just opposite the hotel

location is ideal walking distance to bus stops and train stations. many eating places and shops within walking distance

will not recommend the breakfast - bathroom threshold too high to get up and down. not recommended for those with weak knees and legs

Location although it would be better if I could get a room in the other APA hotel nearby. Warm and comfy when it cold outside. Staff was friendly and nice. Overall satisfied.

Need to travel to the other APA for coin laundry which was not too clean. Some of the q&a says level 2 but I think they renovated it

quiet and not far from the bus stop and shopping was close by. walking to the bus terminal only 10 min. a shrine just opposite the hotel giving a quiet ambience. many restaurant can be found after 5 min walk.

nothing is bad in this hotel. the room rate is reasonable.

I booked when it was in high season so it was normal if the price was a bit expensive. Nevertheless, it is a good hotel and i can’t complaing about the room size since i just want to sleep hehe.

Very fair price. Well located. Before our stay the staff contacted us to inform us about some hearing issues and proposed us alternatives… I was a bit worried but finally everything went well !

No laundry on site, the sister hotel is only a block away tho but has only 2 wash tubs and 2 dryers so you gotta be quick
