Hotel Aomori

A gorgeous, fancy looking hotel that I found very reasonable for the price. I booked a twin bed room for my brother and I and found it to be plenty spacious with a small foyer room separating the bathroom and the bedroom, which also has a sofa, armchair and coffee table as well as a desk. The view of the city and the harbour was spectacular. I spent the last night in the sky bar, which had a wonderful dark, quiet jazz-club aesthetic and friendly, professional and attentive bar staff, worth getting dressed up for to enjoy some reasonably priced and strong cocktails.

For foreign travellers concerned about distance, it is a solid 20 minute walk from the centre - but for that you get great views and a much better deal. Solô travellers have the option of really affordable rooms, although I’d echo others in saying the furnishings could do with a bit of an update… … that said, the breakfast is by the best I’ve ever had travelling. For those who value this - it’s a big plus. Aomori is an out-of-the-way kind of place, but for those that don’t mind the wander from the station, it’s a good base for various day trips.

The room and bathroom were really spacious, which is rare for Japan. It was clean and we had all needed amenities. The staff was also nice. We had a room with mountain view, which was lovely.

The location is about 25 minutes on foot from the station. There are buses available and if you walk there are shops along the way, but maybe not the best location if you plan on taking the train often.

The location was perfect! It wasn't difficult going to and leaving. It was close to my destination in the city. I had to travel to Misawa in the morning and it was about 1 hour drive away.

It was a good stay. I have no complaints. Maybe if I would look for a flaw, it would be parking privileges. When using the underground garage, I would like to have in and out privileges. During my stay. I study martial arts in the area. Sometimes our practice finish at 11pm depending on the day.

Spacious hotel room with a great view. Very solid buffet breakfast with local delicacies. Not expensive for the quality of the room and hotel.

You can tell the hotel is a bit dated though that's not a big deal to me since it was pretty comfortable.

Room is huge and clean. Design is a bit dated which we are aware when booking. Have nice view of the town from the room.

Carpark exit is a bit confusing with no English signage. But we do managed to figure it out using Google translate.

The hotel was centrally located, clean and reasonably priced. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant and bakery were open on New Year's eve and New Year's day!

The hotel was grand and clean; however, you can sense the age in the structure and facilities.

The staff were very professional and kind. The room was spacious enough for the price and very clean.

It’s not really about the hotel. It is just there was not much going on around the hotel, not too many places to eat or shop.

Hotel was nice, the lobby had beautiful bonsai trees. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and had a nice view of the mountains.

Location wasn’t great. It was a 20 minute walk to most things, although it wasn’t a bad walk.

A nice standard hotel with a large room Not too far from the station by the bus. A wonderful breakfast in self service mode ! With very good and tasty products ! A good team.
