Portom International Hokkaido

Stayed here as I thought it was the only hotel located on the airport premises, as had to catch a bus from domestic terminal to ski fields the following morning. It turns out there is a cheap hotel located at domestic terminal- but I'm so glad I found this one- located in International terminal - as once I got there it was pampering all the way! Service was to a high level with a dark/ seamless aesthetic . Every detail carefully considered and presented, with modern, large sized rooms, large, comfortable bed, new bathroom with quality fixtures. Onsen was fantastic and 24hrs. Breakfast was perfect- I only wish I had more time to enjoy it further. The cigar bar was stylish and convenient for a late night dinner and cocktails- next time I'll try a margarita, seeing as the staff adorned badges stating "tequila master". I usually go for budget or ryokan hotels when in Japan, but it's always nice to splurge on one expensive (to me) hotel after a long flight. Would stay again.

This is delightfully designed hotel, calming and quiet with what seemed like triple glazed windows looking out to the aircraft taking off without any sound at all. Everything is ergonomic and every switch and facility is where it should be. If only all hotel rooms were so thoughtfully set out. there is some beautiful architectural sculptures and Japanese style reflection ponds and a really nice zen feel to the place. Would definately recommend staying there if you need to break up your trip out of the ski fields.

I visited Portom close to the airport to have a relaxing day before returning home, and I could feel that a lot of attention was paid to customer service from the moment I checked in. I am very grateful to Ms. Kim for her kindness in explaining the unique hotel interior and facilities that are not found in other hotels and guiding us to the front of the room. Also, I contacted the desk for first aid kit at night, and they prepared it without any delay. The hot spring facilities that we were able to use throughout the evening were excellent. The breakfast was very thorough and there was a lot consideration for customers. Overall, it is more expensive than other hotels, but it is well worth the experience.

There was nothing disappointing.

The facility and the room were both very modern and easy to use. The room we booked were a little pricy but it was worth the money. The beds were very comfortable, aircon was stable, and sound control was done very nicely. From the window, we could see the airplanes/fighter jets taking off and landing, which added to the excitements during the stay. We also enjoyed the hot spring bath. It was within the airport terminal building so shops were easily accessible without having to go out to the winter cold!

Everything about the hotel was excellent, right from the start at the entrance. Quiet, beautifully lit and decorated with plenty of space. Staff were amazing and professional. Location was perfect for our 8am flight. The room settings were controllable via ipad on the bedside table. The beds were perhaps the most comfortable beds we’ve every slept on. Double the price of our stay budget but you get what you pay for, quality stay.

If anything it was way too spacious so getting around was rather tiring for my elderly parents^^; wifi was on the slow side so we just used our data

It sounds crazy but the lighting in the property is amazing, as is the on-site onsen! It’s dark and super relaxing as well as pretty empty so it’s the quietest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. For multi day trips in Hokkaido, I really recommend staying here the night before you depart, it’s in the airport so super convenient and absolutely relaxing.

There is no room service so you either have to get your dinner at the bar on the 8th floor, one of the restaurants, or at the Lawson.

Excellent!!! The service and attention was incredible. Even before we arrived, the front desk staff was already busy tracking our luggage, which had been lost, and in the morning they located it and helped arrange to expedite it to us. Thank you very much, Wu! Indeed, every staff member was so kind, polite, and friendly. The room was amazing--modern and comfortable with so many little details and excellent lighting schemes. Breakfast was delicious. The wait staff was kind and courteous, the menu choices were excellent, and the quality of the food was superb. The onsen was also lovely, and open during the night, which is great for airport travellers arriving at odd hours or jetlagged travellers. Highly recommend!

a few of the staff super helpful and friendly. modern, clean, just 100 metre away from arrival hall. ideal place for us as arrive at 11 am from red eye flight; thought to sleep a night before heading to niseko for skiing.

when I arrive at lobby at 11 am, they didn’t allow me to check in, ask for 10,000 yen per room for early check in. as we have 2 rooms for 2 adult and 2 children, that will be 20,000 yen. the room is already not low price so I am not willing to pay; even thought they have the room ready they wouldn’t allow us to check in. they said earliest they can do for free is 1 pm unless we are willing to pay . that really dampen our mood. this ruined the whole stay experience.

Portion is a new airport hotel. It’s luxurious and the price reflected that. The location is superb for a night before departure on the next morning since it was only a 5 mins walk. The bar overlooking the run way also serves decent easy meals. The room was large and well equipped with new and modern facilities.

It could come across as a wee bit too quiet. The artwork display in the hallway leading to the bedrooms is dimly lit and can be a bit eerie.

Brilliant location right in the airport. You don't even leave the airport building. Also very quiet! I thought an 11pm check out was very generous. And the staff were fantastic!

It's in the international terminal so you need to go there. I arrived on a domestic flight (into the domestic terminal) late at night and thought the hotel was a little hard to find, but I arrived late, the airport was empty and I was tired! The next morning I realised that there were signs to indicate the hotels location but at the time I didn't pay enough attention.
