The free breakfast was substantial and included juices/tea/coffee, eggs, sausage, salad, yogurt, potato salad, fish, spaghetti… There was a nice view of the mountain from the top floor. It was convenient to Fukui Station. Soap, lotion, shampoo and toiletries were provided.
The bed was quite hard. There was no ice bucket in the room.

Initially, I thought the hotel was going to be very standard. But the breakfast was delicious, the staff were very kind and cheerful. Plus, the spa was a great bonus to have. Even though the hotel is a little old, it's clean, and the service makes up for it.

The location was okay. About 10 mins from Fukui station.
The room was untidy. There's dust and spiderwebs on the walls and ceiling. The tub and bathroom walls weren't the cleanest.

There was almost no food when we arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes before breakfast time ends. We were given rice and told to get food from the center table but there were 3 big empty trays and some tiny bowls with food in small portions, and the staff didn’t seem to care. Check-in was also disappointing because there was no explanation or whatsoever about what our room number is (not even the card key has the room number so I had to check our receipt), and I didn’t see the amenities at the check-in counter so I arrived at the room wondering why the hotel didn’t have them.
