Premier Hotel - CABIN PRESIDENT - Hakodate

This is a good quality Japanese business hotel. The location is opposite the bus and train station - just cross the road in 5 minutes. The morning market is just around the corner from the hotel. The lounge / business centre next to the reception is very comfortable. There is complementary coffee and soup available for guests to use for free at certain times of day. There are good quality toiletries (Shick razor etc) in the room and a selection of teas and other ammenties available in the reception.

The room size is typical of business hotels. Just enough room for one person to open their luggage. It might be a tight squeeze with 2 people with a lot of luggage. The room I was assigned had small cracks in the wash basin and small spots of peeling paint in the bathroom. I think the hotel needs to pay attention to these issues - it gives a bad impression of the maintenance of the hotel.

Everything - this place exceeded our expectations. Little touches in the room like humidifier, coffee pod machine. The room although compact for 3 of us was well designed & therefore comfortable. Beds comfortable pillows comfortable and finally proper decent fluffy towels 😊 The amazing cafe on our floor open from 3pm provided free, yes free soft drinks, hot drinks wine and snacks every day until 10pm. As well as the lobby providing a free drinks machine and soup! Unbelievable 😍 Buffet breakfast was superb quality much better than Toyko bay resort hotel which was much more expensive and could learn a thing or to from this hotel on how to look after its guests. Excellent customer service guys 11/10 ❤️

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from the room was absolutely gorgeous, and the hotel was centrally located to both local and non-local transit. It was very easy to get around Hakodate as well as catch the Hokuto limited to Sapporo from our hotel.

The bathroom had a very strong mildew smell that was difficult to ignore. You couldn't smell it with the door closed, but any attempt to enjoy a bath or shower was limited by that smell.

I chose this hotel primarily for its close location to the JR Station, along with its good reviews online. However, I was so pleasantly surprised by the overall high quality of the hotel and the comfort of its rooms. The access to the private lounge that came with my upper floor room was special. In this room I enjoyed the complementary wine and snacks, as well as the opportunity to meet fellow guests in the intimacy of the lounge, which also was a pleasant place to relax or work.

The design of the bathroom, with its separate tub/toilet and sink/vanity/window rooms was exception. However, the light in the sink room portion was too low -- it needed to be brighter. I had difficulty communicating with the non-English speaking staff, who nevertheless tried very hard to communicate with me. This area, especially in the front-desk staff, is an area for improvement.

Location is excellent! just few minutes walk to morning market where you can get very fresh and reasonable seafood meals. The room is spacious for 3 adults with good space for a dining area in the room. For the premier room, my family gets to access to the premier floor where snacks and drinks are provided from 3-10pm. My family rented the electrical bikes from the hotel which was a wonderful experience for us to cycle to the attractions nearby conveniently. Oh, there was a coffee machine provided in the room. You can make nice coffee or tea in the room.

Excellent location, a short walk from the JR stn, tram stop and morning market. Many good restaurants nearby. There is a convenient store below the hotel. The room for 3 pax has three beds and with good space for opening luggage. The premier room provides access to the club lounge for free drinks and snack. There is a premium coffee maker in the room. The room and washroom are very clean. We are able to deposit luggages before the check-in time. The staff who attended to us is polite. Strongly recommended.

Some staff may have difficulty communicating in English.

Big room and level 13 had a lounge we had access to for drinks and snacks which we were able to enjoy. Location was fantastic, across the road from the train station for easy access. Short walk to the tram station. Right by the morning market.

Room temperature was indeed a problem - we were not able to adjust the temperature since it's centrally controlled. Tried to open the windows to let cold air in but that caused weird sounds coming in from the ventilation unit.

A fantastic breakfast buffet with lots to choose from! The location is brilliant if you come in via train - just walk out from the station and cross the road. The window cracks open for a bit of fresh air which is always very welcome in a hotel room.

The walls seemed very thin and I could hear people talking quietly next door. Due to it being a busy time of year the only train I could catch put me on the last Hakodate Liner into town. I alerted the staff 3 times I would be arriving only a few minutes after midnight but was told the cutoff to check in was 11:59. Very stressful and confusing when the reception is open 24 hours! In the end I arrived at about 12:05 and they let me check in with no fuss (other people seemed to be in the same situation) but the stress of imagining myself sleeping in the foyer wasn't too fun!

Fantastic location overlooking the JR station of Hakodate, surrounded by endless eateries, local bars and convenience stores. Three minutes to tram station that takes you to Isetan department store (Marui Imai), one stop to a huge drug store. Minutes to sightseeing spots the Red Brick Houses, the Harbor and the Ropeway to observation hilltop (a must, opening 4-8 pm winter time). Free coffee in lobby 7/7 daily. Two locations of ice machine / vending machine, one with microwave. Top floor bar. 24-hr smoke room.

Restaurant in hotel not fully open - breakfast only (but what a breakfast!) must eat out for lunch and dinner, until Jan 1, 2023 when hotel restaurant resumes normal operation.

The hotel is right beside the Train Station, the room was nice and confortable, the view was also great, the tram stop is a stone throw from the hotel taking you to the old depos transformed to nice shops and cafés, there is best Shusi restaurant(with rotating belt) right at the basemenmt of the opposit corner building, the central bus station is across the road oposite the hotel. The Location, the facility and the convenient location to reach the main land marks of the city, it is the high standard of Shheraton hotels everywhere.
