Smile Hotel Nagoya Shinkansenguchi

This is my 2nd stay in the hotel and this time I stayed for 3 nights. The room is a bit bigger than most hotel chains and there's also a coffee table plus the usual amenities. The staff were nice and the omotenashi can be felt warmly when they greet you. I love that it's close to the usual anime stores I go to like Animate, K-Books, Lashinbang, and Surugaya. I hope to be able to book and stay here again when I come back to Nagoya.

Very close to JR Nagoya Station and Meitetsu Nagoya for airport route. Also even just a few walks away from Animate, K-Books, Lashinbang & Animate Cafe buildings which I really like. Lots of restaurant, conbini, and even a supermarket nearby. The room I got is big enough and although the style and layout is dated, it still provided comfort and good night sleep.

It seems there are some molds in the bathroom...

1. Close to Nagoya station (exit 13, thru taiko dori side) I was a bit lost though since i went out from wrong exit. Look for Denny’s restaurant as reference on where to turn. 2. Friendly staff even if I do not speak Japanese, they we're able to explain how things work in English and some written instructions. 3. Clean room, they have a daily cleaning service.

Some furniture are outdated and with some slight stains especially in chairs.

Staff is very friendly. The room is large enough for 1 person, fully furnished, and cleaned daily.

There is no heater on the toilet seat or bathroom. Unable to adjust the temperature of the AC, sleeping at night is very hot. Even though it's close to Nagoya station, it's still quite a long walk, taking about 10 minutes

First time traveling to Japan, the bus dropped me off within walking distance and the hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the facilities were exceptional. The food was great too. 9h and you're in the middle 9f the city but you get a good night's rest

Generous and delicious breakfast buffet. I would eat there over most restarants.

The cigarette odour in my room. But, likely, the non-smoking rooms were taken when I made the reservation.

It's worth the price and the staff were very accommodating. I would love to stay there when I visit Nagoya again.

The hotel logo is not enticing and there's only dim light inside the room.

Very good location, Very close to station. Also close to some favourate restaurant and shops.

Relative old facilities. But all are functonal and not dirty.

Value for your money. Easy access to Nagoya train station specially if you are in a group tour. Friendly staff.

Near nagoya train station... beds extremely comfy plus had extra heavy blankets in wardrobe which was greatly appreciated
