First off every single person working here is extremely polite and really makes you feel welcome. The Hotel is in a great location ~15 mins walk from Nara Station and slightly closer to Kintetsu-Nara station, very close to Nara Park and many other extremely beautiful spots. There are a lot of Cafés and Restaurants around. The room has a decent size, you get a Guide Book for Nara and some special green tea.

My only complaint would be the amount of noise you can hear inside the room. There is a lot to be heard from other guests (talking, water usage etc.) and the ventilation in the bath ran all night, with no obvious way to shut it off. It's not terrible, but definitely noticeable. These points made falling asleep for me a bit difficult.

The hotel is well located which is close to a local shopping street with various restaurants. The walking time between the hotel and the Kintetsu Nara station is about 10 minutes. The The staff is very friendly to introduce the hotel facilities and keeps very good smile. The coffee corner is perfect and you can have a drink to get some relax after coming back to the hotel. The room facilities are fine and meets my need. The bed and pillow are very comfortable. The hotel can provide free access to 2 nearby public bathhouses (Sento), but I can't visit them as I came back late after sightseeing elsewhere. Hope have chance to visit them next time.

It waits for a quite long time to get the warm water from the tap in the bathroom. Not so pleasant in such winter season.

I liked everything very much indeed. Particularly the staff, the location to the park and nice restaurants and how clean and cosy the rooms where. The comfortable beds and bath were also a highlight! I basically enjoyed everything, very much.

I couldn’t find any English books in the library. However we are in Japan after all so it is totally fair enough. But as someone who is trying to reduce exposure to screens a book in English would have been the icing on the cake. I’ll be sure to ring my own book next time!

i spent one night in hotel obana, while i had a room in kyoto at the same time, to start my sightseeing as early as possible. i arrived very late and checked out quite early, so i could only get a short impression, but it was positive. the room was actually the biggest i had in japan, with two double beds, nevertheless it was one of the cheapest on the trip. the equipment in the rooms is not very different, so the space you have is one of the decisive arguments. the staff was - like everywhere in japan - sensationally friendly. the location is also very good, it's a short walk from the train station, but you are right next to the park for which you come in the end. can't say anything negative and would definitely come again. thanks!

Very close to sightseeing locations, and also close to a local shopping street with some restaurants. Excellent value. The staff didn’t speak much English but they were kind and made me feel welcome. There is a selection of local products for sale in the lobby which was well curated and very convenient to buy souvenirs for friends. Even though my room felt outdated, it was spotlessly clean. The provided pajamas were also cute and comfortable. Overall this is a business hotel which is good for staying just a night or two, but it has some nice local touches.

Although well maintained, the decor and facilities are outdated. I would really prefer if they replaced the yellow duvets on the beds with new white ones. It would feel cleaner. The bathroom (especially the shower) is very very small! So use caution if you are tall.

The staff is friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel is great. Because I was there on New Year's Eve and Day, I was able to have some special traditional food and partake in a traditional wish activity offered by the hotel for the holiday. The hotel has a free drink service in the lobby, which was very welcome. The microwave in the lobby was especially useful because many restaurants and other places are closed for a few days to a week or so over the New Year's holiday in Japan.

The room was relatively small, but it was a single and comparable to most single rooms offered by business hotels in Japan.

I really enjoyed the drink corner with many books about nara!!! Hotel staffs were warm and welcomed.

I know it is a tradition in some hotels to put a flat sheet under the quilt, but sleeping like this was actually not that comfortable.

The location was great. The staff did take care of my luggage a few hours before check-in. Check-out was super easy and uncomplicated.

I am around 183cm tall, so the bathroom ceiling felt a bit low, but it was easy to get used to.
