Good location, floor heating, parking in the garage, big shower

Our room was at the first floor and we could hear everything and everyone coming in and out in the early morning and late night hours thought the thin walls and door.

Good hotel, after all. Staff was friendly. The location is ok (10 mins walk to the center). The building seems to be quite new.

The apartment was furnished quite cheaply. The bedroom was really small. Clean up could be a bit more comprehensive. Breakfast was quite average.

Staff were helpful. They also assisted with getting the car in the garage. Beds were comfortable and room was nice and big. Quiet location and a leisurely walk to the centre. Not far from the lake and the walking area on the lake.

The garage. Only suitable for smaller cars. They did have space for about 3 cars on the side. Also buffet breakfast some of it didnt seem fresh. They did have some fresh eggs and sausages though cooked in a variety of ways. Lots of noise on the first night some loud people in the foyer area sound went right up to the first floor. My parents on the 2nd floor heard nothing. They were noisy until very late past midnight but 2nd night it was fine as the noisy people must have checked out after my first night.

The room was very comfortable and the staff seemed anxious for us to have a good stay. The hotel had nice dark wood trim. At night, the whole street seemed to turn into a continuous outdoor bar with the whole town walking up and down the street. It was nice that our hotel joined in because it meant that there were servers who knew us.

My shower had no covering, so you had to do contortions to avoid spraying water all over the place. The rooms were not soundproof, so there is no point going to bed until midnight when the bars all closed. Though if you are a sound sleeper, the noise wasn't too bad. Who goes to bed before 12 when on vacation anyway?

Nice apartment for family, with clean kitchen modernly equipped with a fridge, stove and oven - so it's very well suited for a long stay. Proximity to the lake and old town. Friendly staff and personal attitude for breakfast.

I don't know if it's possible to do something with this issue in Balkans, but the problem with cigarette smoke getting into the apartment's corridor through ventilation system was not resolved during my stay. Some guests seem to continue smoking inside rooms even if they are equipped with smoke detectors. Perhaps you could make "No smoking" signs more visible in the rooms or put notes that smoking would cause penalty. With doors closed to rooms the smoke didn't get inside the rooms, so we slept well, but we had to keep the bathroom window wide open during February to make the smoke smell in the corridor not so concentrated.

It was not our first time in Villa Arte, so we are already used to the accommodation. Clean, comfortable rooms, well equipped with everything that you need. For everything else, the amazingly hospitable staff is there to help you out. The location is great and I strongly recommend it if you are planning frequent visits to the Old city of Ohrid. Everything is very close: restaurants, shops, cafés... All in all, it's a perfect experience!

It was too hot in the rooms, which was not bad, but we are just not used to staying in such warm rooms. Unfortunately, the heating was centrally managed, so there was no possibility to adjust it...

Clean and modern hotel in great location at Lake Ohrid. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was large and included kitchenette (suite), comfortable sofa bed and crib provided on request. Small balcony with place to dry clothes if necessary. Small elevator available. Reasonable European style breakfast included and bar downstairs. Parking for free. Lovely outdoor terrace. 2 minute walk to lake and 10 min max walk to town.

Curtains were not blackout and were rather worn. Shower leaked all over bathroom floor. Air conditioner did not cool well.

We initially booked just one night and decided to extend as Ohrid is really nice and was worth spending an extra day. the first double room we stayed in (3rd floor) was really nice, clean and we would have given a higher rate for it. But for our extra night there was no availability for double rooms, therefore we booked a family room at the 1st floor, which was extremely noisy (we could literally hear people snorring in the other room). breakfast was ok, but nothing to write home about.

The staff were always available and helpful, providing a quiet place when we needed to hold an online class and ensuing every question we had was answered. They were friendly and understanding. The villa has a beautiful art collection to enjoy and it’s just around the corner from the lake so you can always take a walk by the lake on the Macedonia Kay. There are numerous bars and restaurants nearby and supermarkets too. I liked that my car was in their basement garage because it made me feel that my car was always safe and away from the sun and heat.

I have a bad back and I like firmer mattress’s with more back support. The mattress were on the softer side or a bit sunk in. Perhaps it doesn’t make a difference to most people but to me it did and I slept without a pillow so that I wouldn’t feel my back sink down the middle into the mattress.

Extremely helpful staff- for restaurant advice and when our flight was cancelled. They were invaluable in calling bus stations to help us. A 15min walk to the old town. Well priced rooms

We stayed in their cheapest twin at the start of our stay, and there was a broken light and a desk chair that had its cover torn. However it was extremely clean. One issue we found in both rooms ( and in other hotels we stayed in too) was that their shower doors don't seal well and alot of the water ends up on the floor.
