Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel

Nicely furnished property. Receptionist were friendly, approachable and helpful. Hotel rooms were well-maintained and equipped with the necessities.

The breakfast was not that fantastic. Large variety of food but they were mostly served cold and of average taste. That was unexpected of a 5 stars hotel. Thus, it was not worth it to pay for that kind of quality and standard.

The hotel was very well furnished and clean. Meals were provided for club level at the private area. While there was some hiccup during the check in due to crowded, it was eventually resolved as the desk manager gave a complimentary room upgrade. Service recovery was good but however it would be good to relook at the room check in process and to priortise family with young baby as it is also challenging to wait for the rooms in the lobby for 3 hours ( and also after the check in time of 3pm). Overall a good stay

Honestly, this hotel is located about 20 minutes away from CIQ and it was the best decision ever. If you do not like a busy lobby during check-ins and outs, you want a quiet stay. This would be the best place to stay in. The hotel is also located about 15 minutes away from the popular mall Mid-Valley south key and a walking distance to AEON Permas Jaya. If you're travelling by car, there's a petrol station right beside the hotel too. Everywhere is convenient, and not a busy traffic either.

Honestly there's nothing to not like. The swimming pool was decent, the ambience were great. The rooms were clean, the view was not covered at all. The hallway was a little dark, but I guess it was just me being scaredy-cat. But all is well!

The staffs are all so friendly and very accomodating to my request. It was my husband's birthday and to our surprise, they decorated the room nicely in celebration for his birthday. There was also complimentary slice of cake given to us. DEFINITELY coming back with my parents soon.

The dinner buffet cost RM88 per person due to a promotion BUT the spread doesnt have a lot of choices per to what we have seen in social media. The breakfast spread was alright but we have experience better options in other hotels across JB.

Upon check-in, our room got upgraded to a king sized bed suite, which I'm super thankful of. It's a cozy room with super spacious walk-in wardrobe + bathroom! The breakfast for 2 mornings were up to par, with different varieties and spreads over the 2 days. The staffs in Cafe BLD, the breakfast place, were extra friendly and accommodating, a tiny shout-out to the freshly-squeezed juice station, my mum loves y'all. Also, the staffs attended to our room service and housekeeping requests were accommodating too.

It wasn't too big an issue, but the draining systems in the shower cubicle and 1 of the basins weren't working too well. It started flooding quite easily, so we had to turn it off very quick & often.

friendly staff all around. we came back from breakfast and the room was already housekept. super impressed! pool terrace rooms are awesome as kids have easy access to swim. the room type also gives u access to bfast at club lounge which was more private, no crowd and has a nice view from the 16th floor.

smoke stop was right outside the entry/exit to lift lobby of swimming pool level which was also a bit too close to the first unit for someone sensitive to cigarette smell like me - can't sit at the patio as there is no way to avoid the cigarette smell. the pool terrace option in booking.com says interconnect rooms are available but hotel sent a message that there are no interconnect rooms for our room type. would be a good idea to update details on your page.

The experience was beyond my expectations everything from the reception counter to the room to the service at breakfast the staff the food all was excellent. Each staff performed beyond excellent. The lobby v cozy n clean the room smells good and v v clean. Thank u for the complimentary bottle drinks. The welcoming staff both at the reception n restaurant during breakfast v warmth. Good job am creditvahoykd be given to Ms Ella n Ms Sima who attended to me n hubby with sincerity n great job. My v good first experience but definitely not my last shall recommend n will bring my family for another stay in this hotel.thumbs up for the whole staff n of cos the organisation:)

Our Room was very clean and spacious. The King Bed was very comfortable that we had a very good night sleep. Bathroom was exceptionally big with the toilet and shower area separated by glass doors. Breakfast spread was good with so many choices from Asian to International. The staff from the concierge to the check-in counter had been very friendly and helpful.

The Lobby is very big but there was not enough sofas for guests to sit while waiting for transport to arrive or while waiting for rooms to ready. More seats around the Lobby area would be good.

The staff are friendly and very helpful.They are very efficient. Our room in door light bulb is blown off. We called them they immediately came up to repair even though it is late night. Thumbs up 👍

The hotel look a bit old. I think it's time to refurbished. Didn't really like the toilet for the price I paid. There are mold growing on the side of the wall and the soap holder area. On our last day of our stay the lift lobby area lights went off. The price we paid for I think we deserve more honestly.

The spacious, clean and pleasant ambience of the hotel lobby and rooms. The good view of the sun set overlooking the huge windows from the lift landing area (high floors) The approachable and prompt service by the hotel staff esp the room service. The nice cupcake as a welcoming gesture fr the hotel. The parking space and availability of security personnel.

We booked a room for 3 guests but the stuff provided were meant for 2 Eg bottled water, hot drinks provisions, cups, & slippers. This might be overlooked. But we were thankful that the room service staffs were friendly & quick to look into our needs.
