staff communication was great beforehand and our concerns were already taken care of before we arrived. The room was right on the beach so a great view. it was clean and there was a restaurant right next to us with great food. We were driving with an SUV full of our things and with 2 kayaks on top and felt very safe parking right next to our room. We would stay there again!

Love that these little bungalow type rooms are right on the beach. We looked right out onto the sand and the palapas rught in front of the room. Took our bottle of wine and glasses, and in 5 seconds, we were sitting in the shade of a palapa in Adirondack chairs with our feet in the sand. Then we walk down the beach a few feet to the restaurant/bar and have a great seafood meal. Our second visit here and we love it. ❤️

Showers - I showered in the evening and had a nice hot shower. My husband showered in the morning, and it was cold. I think think they probably run out of hot water during busy times. We both showered in the morning on our last visit, and it was cold then too.

We loved the location. The private beach palapa was the best!

The pet policy needs to be updated on booking.com. We reserved a room with the impression they were pet friendly and found out when we got there that the policy had changed. The staff was kind enough to make an exception for us this one time.

I LOVED this hotel! Wasn't planning to stay in San Felipe as I was driving the peninsula back north, but ended up staying a night because the restaurant (Mathilde's) and hotel were SO NICE! The room we booked was the bungalow right on the sand with ocean front view. It is small, but had everything needed for a peaceful night and beautiful views. The room was spotless, the linens fresh and crisp, the bathroom spacious with good water pressure. There is a little fridge and coffee pot, that was sufficient for a night's stay. The attached restaurant was fantastic, also right overlooking the water with great service. Really liked the vibe and would stay there again. The wifi worked great. The beach was very tranquil and quiet at this spot, and good swimming.

The hotel reception staff were courteous enough but not very warm or welcoming. On the other hand, the restaurant staff were incredibly service oriented, I would go back just for the restaurant!

The restaurant on the property was one of the highlights of our trip -- perfect setting, colorful, not too crowded, but not too dull, food was excellent, and best of all, Berta, Donnie and all the staff were engaging, welcoming and fun!

Smelled like a lot of bleach had been used in the room, wifi good on the beach not so strong in the rooms. That being said, the staff were all very friendly and responsive. Overall, a great experience.

The semi privacy of the bungalow, right on the beach. There are palapas and andirondack chairs right i front of of our room. And a short stroll down the beach puts you in the on-sight resteraunt for a beer or margarita and so.e fish tacos, or whatever grabs you. Unfortunately, our stay was only for one night, but we will definitely be back.

Didn't seem to be hot water in the shower (room temp was doable). Not sure if we just needed to run it longer to get it to heat up.

Property was clean. Staff at restaurant were really nice. Having a restaurant and a bar was nice to have. The location certainly provides nice views of the San Felipe.

View from room was a little obstructed because of location and size of front window and having to park in front of the suite. The room didn’t have a fridge or microwave which would’ve been nice to have.

location, palapas on the beach with tables / chairs. the AC worked wonderfully. shower and bathroom were great. staff was very helpful. I felt very safe traveling with a child.

parking can be cramped if there are several trucks, which there can be at a destination like San Felipe. the Jeep next door parked in my “area” and they found him and had him move back so I could park my truck. wish there was an outdoor shower or water hose to rinse off sand from beach.

Great location on the beach. You are able to park right next to unit, making unloading and loading a breeze. Loved the restaurant.

The only negative aspect is that the Wi-Fi is weak. Given the sleepy nature of this town - which is great - we still wanted to watch our streaming services which we’re unavailable due to technical issues with Internet or router.

Stella Del Mar was exactly what we were looking for for my family. We were the second row back of bungalows, but it was still perfect. The rooms were big with AC. We enjoyed amazing sunrises over the water. The food at the restaurant was very good along with live music each night. The location is far enough away from the main strip to feel a bit secluded, but still close enough to walk to all the restaurants and shops. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt very safe and secure. Obviously this is not a 5-star resort with pool and spa, but it was exactly what we were looking for for our family. Thank you!

My only complaint is not towards the resort. There is a trash problem in town. The resorts do a good job keeping the beaches clean. It would be nice if tourism maybe pushed to clean the town up a bit.
