Hotel Montetaxco

The view was amazing. The grounds were beautiful and felt like old Europe. a bit like a fairy tale on top of the mountain. The room was spacious and the patio area was nice for smoking and watching the stars. The little bottle of wine was a nice touch in the mountain view suite. Very romantic and lovely. The staff was great too. I was a bit lonely by the pool at one point and the waiter brought me a pretty plate with a rose surrounded by chocolate and berries. ..made a lady feel special

The pillows were lumpy.

Lots of entertainment throughout the day (dancers, games and shows). Nice rooms. excellent view!

There was a spider in the bathroom. Disappointed that the buffet didn’t have had more quality foods (like seafood and steak). upset that the poolside grill didn’t let us order food after 5:00pm, especially because other tables were allowed to keep ordering food!

location, the view was amazing, easy transportation to downtown (60-70 pesos). the food at the restaurant was great and on the weekends they have live music

it’s getting a little bit old, a make over would be necessary soon, very few personals speak English but if you know some Spanish you should be good

The restaurant´s menu was very limited, pool closing hours was very early, there is no closet in the room, it was a bit crowded to put our clothes in the drawers.

This is an older hotel but it's so traditional and nice, the property is well taken care of, it still feels extremely Mexican the menu had traditional Mexican food and the whole environment felt very authentic. I LOVED the music trio at breakfast, very good. The cable car is superb!

The room was great but the aircon had one of those super light displays that wouldn't let me sleep. I also felt the pool could be cleaner, not that it was dirty at all but I think the water treatment didn't feel too good. I keep saying this in ALL hotels, it'd be better if they had refillable bottles in the shower for the courtesy shampoo/balsam rather than the plastic little ones

Amazing views. Few restaurants on site.

You could hear a lot of noise from the restaurants to our room.

The hotel is well situated, the staff friendly, and all areas clean and tidy.

Checkin took a long time as there was only one member of staff Internet was woeful

I thought the hotel was really charming. The views of Taxco from this property are absolutely amazing. We had some wonderful meals at El Taxqueno restaurant, and we found our stay to be very relaxing.

Only complaint were the tiny pillows that were on our king-sized bed. I would have enjoyed some larger pillows instead. Obviously, due to the pandemic some parts of the hotel were closed, I look forward to returning when more of the amenities are open.

Clean room and comfortable for a short stay. Nice fireworks show on Saturday night.

The front desk staff were nonchalant and not too welcoming. Breakfast service was slow.
