The man who runs the hotel is extremely friendly and goes out of his way to be helpful. The location is excellent. I could always find my way back to the hotel, often without trying, I would find myself in front of it. It is also extremely clean. It has a fresh smell of soap at all times. They are constantly maintaining the total cleanliness of the hotel. My room was spotless.
The walls are very thin. My first night, a couple came in at 2:30 AM and they woke me up and they weren't even talking loudly. But the walls were so thin that I could hear everything they said as though they were in the room with me. There was a nightclub that played music til 4 AM and I could hear it-- and it was far away! Also, there are neighborhood dogs outside that bark constantly. It was driving me crazy. I mean tons of barking, at all hours. But it might not just be the location of this hotel. Taxco is full of stray dogs and they bark at night. Bring ear plugs.
