Hotel Cordelia's

Lovely little hotel right on the beach. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean - with a ventilator and an air conditioner, which was great. We also had a lovely sea view as a bonus. The beach is good: this side of the bay is separated from the other part with some rocks and that creates rather calm waters - good for swimming, particularly with kids. We have seen many people with dogs on the beach - not sure they were staying at the same hotel, but it looks like the whole area is pet-friendly.

Our mattress was rather hard, whilst the kids' one was soft: I know it's hard to suit all, but there are some quality mattresses that adopt the shape of the body and ensure a better night's sleep. Also, the bathroom was rather basic/rustic type - we were all right with it, but some people may have higher expectations.

Waterfront hotel in a nice bay (puerto). Good views if you get the best room which we did. We were quite happy but there is luck involved.

Can be a noisy area (including middle of the night music from another building) but that’s just Mexico. The room is older and worn. It’s close enough in layout to the photos but not fresh with plants etc. like the photos.

Hotel Cordelia’s is a wonderful little hotel, right in the bay. The location is a rustic town in southern Mexico. The staff are super helpful and the management were supportive our group. This was our third time to the hotel and we feel very happy with our experience. The views are amazing. The rooftop is a delight. There was some heavy rains while we were here and the hotel was quick to mop up and make the stairs safe. The rooms are charming and the 3 bedrooms are very spacious! The staff are kind and very helpful!

The location is unbeatable. We walked into our room (do pay extra if you can for a beach view) after a long overnight bus journey, and sighed with relief! The view out into the bay was stunning. We'd unwittingly chosen a really nice Mexican beach where mexican families congregate at the weekends and eat drink and be merry.! The more popular beaches of Mazunte and S Agustinillo are very pretty etc but also very touristy and consequently a lot pricier, plus the seas have big rollers rather than the gentle waves of Playa Pantheon.

This wasnt really a negative, but if you want nightlife, I'd go further west. The hotel served food up til 8pm, but was pretty dead by then (and therefore lovely adn quiet) whereas at lunchtime it's bustling with families etc

The location is excellent right on the beach. The staff worked very hard to make our stay comfortable. They quickly accommodated any of our needs during the week we were staying there. There has also been some nice updating of the rooms and bathrooms since we last visited in 2019.

The restaurant does not accept credit cards which was inconvenient for our larger group.

. The hotel was right on the beach. The view of the bay is incredible. Good A/C in the room. Large room. Good hot water. Good restaurant with good prices right on the beach. The restaurant had tables on the terrace wide open to the beach as well as tables on the sand. Tours are available right from the hotel for whale watching and snorkeling. Just delightful.

We drove from Huatulco. The roads are narrow and winding, but still an interesting drive. Tons of little shops and restaurants along the way. No ATMs available in Puerto Ángel. But the hotel accepts credit cards for food and drinks. And there are numerous ATMs in Pochutla just 20 minutes away.

The location was beautiful and the sunrises were epic. I had initially booked a smaller street side room but was upgraded to a sea side room for the balance of my stay. The staff were excellent and a accommodated my limited Spanish. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent and reasonably priced.

I found the beds were a bit uncomfortable once I was moved to the sea side one of the three beds was quite comfortable.

Great location right on the beach. Very family friendly. Clean rooms with a small balcony.

A small fridge and coffee maker would have been very nice to have. As well as a glass/cup in the bathroom, and small facecloths and hand towels. With those few things this would have been a perfect place.

Located right on the resort beach of Puerto Angel. Perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The room has a view of the beautiful beach and ocean. The A/C was nice and cold. Shower was hot and powerful. The staff was friendly and attentive.

No coffee until the restaurant opens at 8 or 9.

Cordelia’s us right on the beach snd it is a sweet little bay great for swimming & snorkelling. it really is worth getting the rooms with a sea view it’s stunning. It’s quite old fashioned but we like that….it has character :) It was great to have chairs & umbrellas on the sand to use.

The bathrooms could do with a bit of TLC, the shower in ours wasn’t great. It would be good to have cabinets by the bedside so you don’t have to leave everything on the floor. The rooftop area doesn’t seem to be in use, which is a shame, but I understand some things may have fallen out if use as a result of the pandemic.
