Elevator for upper floors, Spotless clean. Polite cheerful helpful staff great front desk reception. Hot shower TV ,air condition, bottle of purified water each day. Maid service each day clean towels and toiletries . IN the center of town near malecon many parks ,the main zocalo, eateries ,vendors ,market.s. MUCARA has its own restaurant good food good price. Good Local transportation buses and taxis city tours. A most convenient establishment

The ladies at the reception were very nice and helpful , one of them helped me to book an ADO ticket on her computer since it didn't work out on my cellphone but...without any result again. Large room, good lighting, good shower with hot water, excellent location. For the price...you wouldn't find any better in Veracruz. Also, the breakfast at the adjacent restaurant is just awesome and the coffee is first class ,all of that at a fair price.

The bed and the pillows are too hard to be comfortable. A suggestion for the bathroom....una estrecha mesita al lado del lavomano para poner tus toiletries. Hay que ponerlos fuera del cuarto de baño porque no hay ningún lugar para eso.

Super central location, great for a couple nights in Veracruz. Staff was very helpful and speaks English well.

The view from the balcony wasn't the greatest and there are no chairs etc. to sit on. We didn't mind though and rather went to the Zocalo. It is noisy at night, but then again its a very central location. Just something to keep in mind.

The location was fantastic, although it could get loud at night. The staff were wonderful, especially Sylvia and Teresa! I did not eat breakfast there. I did have smoothies at the adjacent restaurant, but it closed very early.

I was disappointed that the roof terrace I had seen photos of in the online ad was closed for Covid. My first room had no windows to the outside and felt very claustrophobic, had planned on spending time on the terrace.

My room was small, that's what I paid for, but it was quiet, clean and comfortable and good value. The staff were always friendly. What really makes this hotel special is it's awesome location, so close to the zócalo which is great as you will probably be enjoying a few nights out there like I did.

Situated In the old beautiful part of the city. 5 min. from the harbour and malecon. Very nice staff and well sized clean rooms. English TV channels and good ac. Simple Restaurant with Mexican breakfast decent priced can be found downstairs in the hotel

Location is great: cafes on the same street, one block away; zocalo right next to it; cheap and savory eating places all around it; safe; two blocks from both cafes Parroquia and malecon. Building is newly remodeled, so everything looks bright and shiny - plus they're thorough with cleaning. Staff is kind and helpful. Good quality toilet paper.

The standard double room is small. A/C chills only the room, the restroom was hot as hell! Pillows are awfully hard. The mattress has a plastic cover. Drinking water was only provided in bottles - two 600ml per day, no 20L container nor filter in lobby. Shampoo and soap were provided in single-use disposable containers - bulk dispenser would be better.

Very worth the money. Close to the zocalo and is just opposite to the cathedral. Many restaurants and shops nearby. Helpful staff. Room is large.

A bit noisy if your room is not internal, but during the night it is ok. The previous guest left a bottle in my room but was not threw away from the room. Also the patio of the room is not cleaned. But anyway the room itself is very clean and very worth the money.

Helpfull staff that helped me with the television and brought me a blanket round midnight. Hotel in the middle of the center and a few minutes from te zocalo.

Round midnight I found out that there was no blanket on the bed. Nowhere else in the room was a blanket. And I don’t like to lay under just a sheet. So the lady from the reception brought me a heavy duty one. Good enough to survive on the North Pole. My advice: a blanket on every bed in the hotel.

Location was perfect if you are interested in historic Veracruz, the port, the Zocalo, the architecture and the history. Sometimes when the price of something is so inexpensive you think to yourself, there must be something wrong. The value is amazing for what is offered at Hotel Mucara. My only suggestion to the hotel is the bed linens and towels could be improved on, but the room with great balcony overlooking the street, with great air conditioner , large bathroom for around $18.00 USD per night was a travelers bargain.
