Kempinski Hotel Khan Palace

It was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The restaurants were good. The value for money was extremely good. There was one particular receptionist (Bilguun, I hope I’ve spelt her name correctly) who was super and so helpful when our arrival was delayed due to issues with our flights.

We used a driver for our airport transfer and transportation to an attraction outside the city. He was quite an aggressive driver even by Mongolian standards. I should add that the driver who transferred us to the airport at the end of our stay was a different man and a very good driver and I felt very safe with his driving.

The breakfast was a lovely Buffet with many options. But what makes this hotel extraordinary is the staff! Without exception- thoughtful, polished courteous and helpful. Whoever is doing the staff selection and training (probably the wonderful Front of Hotel manager (whom I met)) is selecting brilliantly. Well done Kempinski. I have stayed here before and will come again!

More water in the rooms?- but I was always provided more when I requested it.

The breakfast was very good. The morning coffee is presumably the best you can have in Mongolia. The two rooms were quiet, clean, and spacious with several sofas and chairs. We stayed for more than a week and had a great time. The hotel is located about 2 km from the city center, so we either walked to the center or took one of the frequent buses.

This was our second time and we were not disappointed. The staff were kind and helpful. The facilities were of a high standard. Every where was clean and spacious. He restaurants were of a high standard. I used the Spa and it was very good. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

Everything about Kempinski is amazing but most importantly it’s the staff. I have stayed there a few times now and they always recognize and provide extra care and super accommodative.

This is a well appointed and comfortable hotel. Lovely staff. Good value for money for a 4-star hotel. A bit far from the central area of UB, but a straightforward 30 minute walk (don't go in a car if you can help it. The traffic is diabolical!).

Very good deluxe suit. Location. I have problem with payment amount. I have paid exact amount for my stay. Next day reception said that i need pay more because of booking.com and hotel booking system issue. But personal resolved this issue.

Sauna, fitness room and hottub were great! The breakfast was also great. It was nice to be able to eat in the dining hall, which was reserved for the pope during our last stay 3 weeks earlier.

They ran out of burgers in the bar.

Was no swimming pool, only sauna. And a little bit too far from the center due to the heavy traffic.
