Warm and comfy rooms, Just a touch of lake view from our balcony but I assume very good views in the higher rooms. Nice vista across town though. Sauna was great. Didn't have breakfast onsite but it was an option and smelled fantastic. Parking onsite is great too. Easy walk into town down the hill.

The room was at the front overlooking Stanley St with a slightly blocked view of the lake, however we could see it and also the gondola and the town centre was within a 10 minute walk. The room was large and roomy and the bed very comfortable. It was very clean and the room was serviced daily with fresh towels and linen. The dining room was nice and the food good. We had breakfast everyday and they would cook eggs to order, the poached eggs were excellent. We had one evening meal which was also extremely good. Overall, we had a really good stay and as we didn’t have a car, being within walking distance of the town was a real bonus. Finally, the staff were all friendly, professional and helpful.

The room was large, clean and very comfortable. There was a small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which was super convenient. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very nice, with a powerful shower. There was a small deck with chairs to sit outside which was a nice bonus. The hotel staff were exceptional, so pleasant and helpful. The availability of a laundry room was great. Breakfast was included in my stay and it was exceptional. Lots of choices of hot and cold options to set you up for the day. Excellent location - a bus ride away from the airport and walking distance to the restaurants and shops. Wonderful place to stay.
My room was close to the hotel kitchen and could be a bit noisy during peak times.

We stayed in one of the top floor chalet style rooms with a full view of the lake, which was beautiful. The decor was slightly dated and particularly in the bathroom you could see where many repairs have been made over the years. But the room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was a large electric heater on the wall which was lucky because it was very cold at night when we visited (March) and it warmed the room quickly. All the facilities we could need (kettle, fridge, hairdryer, iron etc) were provided. Great location (5-10 mins walk from the town centre) and convenient free parking on site. Be aware that the hotel is on a steep hill (like most places in Queenstown) but easy enough to walk. Staff at the reception desk were super friendly.
As already mentioned, the decor was a little tired. The shower was ok but not great. There are external stairs up to the rooms (no lifts) so be prepared to carry your luggage! Parking might be tricky if the hotel is full.

Lake view from our unit a plus. Plentiful supply of towels. Air con quiet and efficient. Appreciated the two chairs. Beds comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Spacious unit.
Limited parking on site on a first come basis. Road works on numerous nearby streets plus limited hours for parking made parking a hassle and an issue. Shower in bath unexpected these days. Only tea/coffee making facilities with limited crockery/cutlery. Road noise when on balcony or when front door open means limited use made of that space. Noise from couple in adjacent room most unpleasant.

The staff at this hotel were amazing - cheerful, pleasant & very helpful. We did request twin beds when we booked & we had a message from the hotel stating that this would be actioned. However, when we arrived, our room had a double bed. So off to reception we had to go (no phones in the room) to request twin beds. To be fair, two members of staff came straight away & made our bed into 2x singles. The room was a good size & the view of the lake & mountains from our balcony were just stunning. We dined in the onsite restaurant on both nights of our stay & our meals were delicious & beautifully presented by very pleasant staff.
The rooms were looking very tired, in particular the bathroom. Some money needs to be spent by the hotel on refurbishments. The overflow hole in the sink was absolutely filthy - we could see the black inside from the reflection in the mirror. It actually put us off wanting to wash in the sink or brush our teeth in there. It was pretty disgusting.

Loved location within walking distance to main facilities & Church. Loved the room size, cleanliness & the bed was so comfy. I didn't realise though that I could have requested a room upstairs as I paid $455 for the two nights & had the bottom room at street level so missed out on the amazing view from my friend $430 room. But I loved having the inhouse restaurant as we had been hiking all day & didn't have to then go out for dinner. Pou was an excellent server, very friendly & yet professional & efficient. Queenstown is definitely on my list to come back & perhaps will book in at Heartland again.

The property is in a fantastic location with wonderful views of the lake and centre of town. It’s a quick walk to the main town for all restaurants and shopping purposes. I believe we had the best room on the property! An amazing view which we were very grateful for! The room was very cute and had everything you needed for a weeks stay. All staff are very welcoming, accomodating and very friendly.
The property is beginning to become a little dated, mainly the bathrooms and other technology e.g. shower curtains, kettle, heater. Unfortunately the wifi was also not consistently good. We booked a lot of activities throughout the week and were constantly in need of good reception in case of communication with these external companies and it kept cutting out and was quite slow.

Nice size room, we got room service snack (garlic cheese bread, and fries) which was yum, the breakfast buffet was extensive, lots of yummy danishes, pancakes, bacon eggs mushrooms hash browns etc
Although the breakfast buffet had great variety, the hot food was not hot, in fact it was barely lukewarm. I needed to ask for hot bacon & sausage as I’m pregnant and it was no trouble. The scrambled eggs were very pale. The heater in the room probably needs to be better. A bit ineffective due to the size of the room needing heated.

The location to the city centre exceeded our expectations and the views are spectacular. The staff are lovely and extremely accomodating. We will be back.
It has to be said that the accomodation is a little ‘tired’ and could do with some updating, particularly the bathrooms. However the location more than makes up for a slightly outdated bathroom. Parking was slightly confusing as it is on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis and we had people parking in the area around our room from the other side of the complex which I believe could be better organised. I know it is limited, but unfair for people to take up two spaces when other guests need access to offload/load luggage etc. Only a small niggle and we managed to sort it very easily.
