Buller Court on Palmerston

Friendly welcome on arrival and a very comfortable bed. The room and kitchen was well equipped and was clean and well maintained. They even provided ground coffee and a cafetiere, so you could make proper fresh coffee. They also had Hot Chocolate and a selection of teas available plus fresh milk. We'd highly recommend this Motel.

Not the Motels fault. We were woken at 4am by a siren, which turned out to be the local fire alarm that calls out the retained fire fighters. It would have been worth this being mentioned in the Motel information pack, just for peace of mind.

The Wife & I had a quite modern 2 Bedroom apartment which had a BIG BATHROOM with a Spa/Bath/Shower set up. Whilst we didn't use the Spa, the Shower was First Class with terrific hot water & pressure. I'd even go as far as saying "the best shower on the West Coast of NZ" & that's important when you consider how cold it can get on the West Coast. A well set up Kitchen enables you to easily prepare your meals. Our preference was to buy pre-made, ready to heat meals from the nearby Coles Supermarket & just Micro-wave them to the desired temperature. If you've got some USA Style Reverse Park experience, that'll stand you in good stead if you draw a Unit where a Right Hand-Side reverse park is needed. But I will say this regardless of the style of Reverse Parking needed, we have never experienced parking so close to your apartment front door, it was a case of just open the rear of the SUV & place the luggage inside the front door. A lovely apartment to spend a holiday in.

Our first night I tried the Main Bedroom TV but found it turned off at the wall behind the TV itself, a wee bit strange I thought. However once I turned it on all was good. That was until I turned it off with the remote at bedtime, the TV itself must not have wanted to sleep, because it stayed on with a low glow & a makers logo bouncing around the screen. It was then I realized why it was turned off at the wall, a minor problem to remedy but I am a retired Electrician.

Super comfortable bed, firm. Fresh baked short bread biscuits on arrival, bottled water in fridge, and topped up on second day. Guiet, didn't seem to hear much road traffic. Torch in cupboard, not seen that one before. Very clean. No surcharge when paying by bankcard., 3 week road trip in SI, 7 motels and the only one not to change.

The greeting was very welcoming and friendly. The studio unit we booked was so clean,well equipped with lots of extras for eg,umbrella.,fly spray and swat.The information booklet that they had put together was full of lots of extra information. Also had a noticeboard with more information. Well done to the owners.

The only thing I thought could do with an upgrade would be the bowl supplied to wash dishes in (as there wasn't a sink)could be a bit bigger. Just a minor gripe.

A warm welcome and very helpful management. Property phoned me personally to confirm my needs beforehand as I was staying on two seperate occasions and needed to leave my vehicle with them. This motel is extremely clean, very comfortable and beautifully maintained with up to date decor. Guest rooms were well supplied with quality linens, towels, guest amenities etc. Overall, one of the very best properties I have stayed at In many years of travelling! Highly recommended.

It is right in the main street. We can find it easily. Bathroom is spacious. Livingroom and dinningroom are also large. Culinaries are quite enough, even I can ask for a rice cooker.

Kitchen is small and right in the main door, so if someone is cooking, it is little inconvenience going in and out. Standing shower is only with a curtain so after showering, the whole bathroom floor is almost wet.

Nice location. The room was spacious. The room had one double bed and a single bed. The bathroom was big and very clean. The room had a big TV and a lot of satellite channels as well as Netflix. There was also a collection of 300+ DVDs available for watching. The room had a kitchen area and enough utensils provided. There was also a nice garden and private sitting area behind the room. Motel is close to restaurants and supermarkets. The hosts were very nice and provided a lot of information.

Hosts were great, upgraded our room after a difficult day also made a booking for us at a great little place in town for dinner. Put us in touch with a place to get a damaged tyre replaced. Great outdoor area at our back door, enjoyed our breakfast out there on a warm Westport morning. Nice little touches in the old but clean and well appointed unit.

Great location, the room was super clean and spacious, the heater had been turned on to warm up the room. The bed was really comfortable, also a great size shower in the bathroom.

While the lady that checked me in was nice, she answered the phone twice and answered queries from who was obviously the same person, she did ask another staff member to help the second time after a while, this delayed me getting my keys. Good customer service would have been her asking the caller to hold or call back.

1st impressions always count, owner delivered milk and warm cookies to our unit - say no more! All potential needs had been thought of and everything was good quality. DVD's available to watch. A very comfortable stay in a lovely room. Would highly recommend

We didn't have a sink in the room(apart from bathroom) but we only booked a studio - I guess the larger units would have full facilities?
