Tivoli Carvoeiro

Our room was beautiful - great size, balcony with a view of the pool and ocean was spectacular, bed was very comfortable! We opted for the free breakfast - lots of selection and tasty. The facilities were very nice and there are lots of restaurant options in the hotel. We had a drink at the Sky Bar but didn't eat at any of the other restaurants in the hotel. If you walk 5-8 mins from the hotel, there are lots of restaurants/bars. Access to the beach is also very close. Highly recommend hiking on the rock formation trails - you can begin right at the hotel and go all the way to the Benagil caves (and beyond).

Everything was perfect!

Perfect!!! This lovely hotel is in an incredible location with a constant and beautiful view of the ocean, trails to walk on above the cliffs and a beautiful pool overlooking the ocean with a stretch of beach below. We were very impressed by the dedication of the staff to making our stay so comfortable. Everyone, from the front desk to the dining hall, pool and fantastic spa, was so kind, professional and hard working. The room was very clean and had a beautiful view. Great shower. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and full of options. Very close to the town center. We’ll definitely come back. Was hard to leave. Thank you to Tivoli Carvoiero. . .

the location and structure are great

The Concierge staff (Marco and Marco Louis) are right out rude and incompetent , which is unacceptable in any hotel but especially in a 5 stars. They failed us as guests and most import they failed the hotel, as they left us with a terrible taste and because of them will advise against this hotel to all our friends and family.

Overall the hotel was excellent. Great location, beautiful views from everywhere you went. the majority of the staff was very nice. I did have somewhat of an issue with the staff at the pool bar. They seemed to be fighting with each other all week. One of them was very rude to my husband. Was not allowed to keep a tab, you had to pay for every drink when you received and felt you needed to tip every time someone brought you something. I didn't like that. If that was the rule, no problem but I did feel they were very rude at the pool bar. other than that I totally loved the hotel, location, breakfast buffet was incredible, everything about it.

rooms were a bit smaller than what I am use to but we made due, it was a beautiful room with a beautiful view. My other comments about pool bar is above. We did notice however that the pool needed a good update. The tiles in the pool were falling off in our hands but I am sure the property is aware and sure it will be updated.

Breakfast was good and plentiful, though the exact same every day. Some variety would have been nice. Pool bar could have offered more variety as well. To a person, every member of staff were friendly and helpful. Absolutely beautiful, comfortable, spotless place t stay. Town of carp euro also very safe, nice, with great restaurants

The staff was super helpful. Details in decoration were very nice and bed and pillows were top class. (and I always have a hard time with pillows in Europe) We came in winter {February 5) and it was not busy. Plenty of parking. Breakfast / brunch was awesome, lots of options in the buffet and all you could drink freshly pressed orange juice. Loved it. Definetly will come back and will book with my NH hotel membership to get rewards. We had a room with balcony to the sea... Just breathtaking view. Totally recommended.

You have to come in a car. And you don't see directly the sunrise or sunset but it is a very private location. The minibar didn't have snacks. The waiter at the bar, serve the order but never came back to check on us for additional drinks or the bill.

Breakfast is very good with lots of varieties, the staff was very friendly and helpful in the restaurant and tried their best to serve you. The sea view was fine as well. The cleaning ladies did cleaning and prepare the bed every day. There is a afternoon coffee or tea offering came to the room everyday as well. We really felt relax in the hotel.

1. There is no welcome bottle of water in the room (which I first experienced in a 5 star hotel), but there were beverages in the mini bar 2. We lived on the 4th floor and the above were restaurants. In the evening you could hear the sounds of dragging chairs/tables (probably the cleaning of the restaurants) 3. Wifi was very weak in the balcony.

+ Love the cliff view from the hotel esp when you get a room facing the sea. Could have provided sun lounger too. + The quietness of the location and hotel can be a bonus. Also nice trials for walking like Algar Seco. Best stretch of coast like of Algrave for me. Read negative comment. + The housekeeping staff are polite and efficient. + There is an indoor pool, spa, fitness centre. Yet the fitness center, sauna and steam rooms (max 4pax) close too early at 7pm because it is located inside the spa. + Good buffet breakfast spread but the same daily. Tips:Thankfully we found Eduardo Burnay who managed Exclusive Soul Tours. Private customize tour at reasonable price in a clean 7 seater Chrystal. He gave us our best tour of Sagres and Slives plus fantastic restaurants recommendations. Meaning we can dining elsewhere at night.

- The location meant min of 40mins drive to many places of interest. - Highway has poorly lit roads. And winding streets to hotel - Poor information on tours at reception. Only mass boat or bus tours. Does not goes with the hotel brand.

Luxury hotel with an incredible view. We stayed here for 1 week and it was simply perfect. It's just a few minutes walk from the town centre (which is great with lots of places to eat and drink). The hotel has a gorgeous Sky Bar and bar and 2 x restaurants - all with the fantastic views. We had breakfast on the terrace every morning which was an added bonus. The turn down service every night was a nice touch. No one reserves sunbeds here - there's always plenty free at any time during the day. A very relaxing holiday.

No water in the room. Had to pay €6 every day just to have water to drink.

The staff was amazingly helpful! It was a birthday trip for my mom and when I let them know, they sent up a birthday cake and a bottle of champagne! They allowed us the chance to get our check-in started early and enjoy some time on the terrace at the bar while we waited since we were so early. The view was SPECTACULAR!

There is nothing I would change about our trip. Oh wait, it wasn’t long enough. Everything from the food to the staff to the bed was amazing. I travel for a living and spend my time in plenty of hotel rooms: Europe isn’t known for extra comfortable bedding. This location delivered on everything!
