Agua Hotels Vila Branca

A really lovely stay! The hotel is located in a quiet, safe area but only a 15 minute walk to the old town. We walked this twice most days and found it to be fine. Ubers are also extremely cheap if needed. Staff were professional, helpful and friendly. Very clean but some cleaning staff who cleaned our apartment each day were definitely better than others. Our apartment was modern, bright and incredibly spacious. AC worked well. Great to have two bathrooms and two bedrooms rather than having to use a sofa bed in a living room. Huge fridge & freezer. Great to have a balcony. Very handy having two pools. Lovely waterfall shower. Great supermarket just across the road which we loved. Airport transfers well organised. Grounds are really well kept and very clean.

Sun loungers could do with being updated. Balcony furniture could be better as it was old & a bit grubby & doesn’t really match the modern feel of the apartment.

Lovely clean,modern and spacious apartment with bedroom,kitchen and sitting area and balcony. Apartment has, all necesary amenities. Bathroom is big. We enjoyed our stay.

Hairdryer,iron or drying rack would be handy. Also paper kitchen towels and brand new dishes spongie would be great but would rather prefer a dishwasher.

Apartment was very bright and spacious. It was situated in an excellant location overlooking the pool but the tree outside the bedroom gave great privacy. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen mostly had everything that we needed. The pool area was very nice with plenty of beds in sunny and shaded areas.

The sofa was not very comfortable for sitting on. Apartment could have done with a couple of things for example a sweeping brush or duspan and brush. Instructions on how to use the safe would help. Air con was very noisy.

The breakfasts were good and tasty. The staff was usually very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and nicely located. The surroundings were quiet and at a reasonable distance from the centre and beaches. Thanks to its location we had an opportunity to go to every beach in Lagos and was never bored. There is a small local grocery just round the corner which is very useful to get our shopping. I could honestly stay there 2 months, not 2 weeks.

However, they lacked variety. It was the same menu every day. I would also recommend less focus on the British tourists and preparing the menu for what is usually eaten in the UK. It'd be much better if you offered locally eaten breakfasts. I would also appreciate it if the staff swept the floor every now and then as it was a bit messy after two weeks of stay.

We have big enough apartment with all necessary things, the kitchen was well equipped , we had extra room in apartment for storage (sport equipment for example), good parking possibilities. The whole territory left good impression.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. It was modern, bright, airy, clean and spacious. With 3 small children we found the apartments very comfortable. The pool area was spotless and had a very safe kids pool. Staff were always very helpful. There is a lovely shop right outside the property with fresh fruit, fresh bakery and essentials. It is a 15 minute walk to town but a more difficult walk back. However, taxis were easy to get back at night. We also enjoyed a few evenings in the restaurant or pizza and cocktails around the pool.

There is no lift in the property. We were situated on the top floor so carrying the buggy each time was a challenge. The mattresses were not the most comfortable. Overall, we loved Villa Branca and would recommend 👌

I liked th fact that the Reception Staff were very helpful. The breakfast was very good indeed, lots of choice and plenty of food available.

I didn't like the room we was allocated on arrival. It seems it was what we booked, a twin studio, but not at all what we was expecting. However, the Reception staff were most helpful and found us another room, albeit for a small additional charge, a one bedroom appartment, and just what we wanted. Fixed hairdryers in rooms would be an addvantage. My wife emailed ahead to ask if hairdryers were available and was told they were. However upon arrival they were all booked out and my wife had to wait for 6 days before one did come avaiable. Needless to say she was not best pleased !

The place was great, quiet at night, we really liked the apartment, there was everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. To make it perfect, they could add up more pictures and decorations as it was quite plain but the facility was great. We truly appreciated the job of the receptionists, they were super helpful and friendly, they operated 24/7, they even offered us to store the luggage after check out time and helped to answer all the questions (suggestions for the restaurants, car rentals, etc.). We wanted to book a shuttle to the airport and we decided to do it quite late (1 day prior to the departure), nevertheless the lady at the reception was amazing and managed to book it for us. They made us feel very welcome and did an outstanding job.

Breakfast was really tasty, though we would appreciate there were slight changes over the time, meaning the flavours of the jam, bakery, etc. There was no surprise and we knew exactly what to expect. It would be great to get teapots on the tables and do not have to ask for tea bags each time. Yet again, the staff were very professional and created good atmosphere. When it comes to WIFI, it only worked from the kitchen/lounge and the balcony (not from the bedroom), but it was OK as in case of need, we were using our data. Last but not least be careful not to put the room key card close to other cards as it may not work afterwards and you´d have to have it fixed at the reception.

The apartment was massive (although the furniture was sparse and with no pictures or fitting felt cold) and freshly renovated. We were on the ground floor and had a garden size patio with full sunshine. Car parking was easy and secure. Our package included a very good breakfast.

The location is a slog into town or the cliffs. There are a couple of restaurants and supermarkets nearby but I think a car is essential.

The pool service was excellent. The staff came by frequently to take orders for drinks (and pizza.😊!). The staff was very friendly and especially towards our 2,5 old son. In particular the friendly lady at breakfast. The pool area was perfect, with a great pool for little ones. The room was very spacious and clean. The location was ideal for us. Quiet, but close enough to the old town and harbour.

The breakfast buffet was quite limited. The room could do with some more furnishing (e.g. a place to store coats, shoes,.. and a lamp by the bed). The bed was really uncomfortable.
