Hotel Fort Canning

Location in Fort Canning park - so wonderful to be in a garden setting- central to all to see in Singapore - Most of the staff are very helpful. Spacious room with lovely view

Some of room furniture is looking tired. Supplies in the room are very basic Some staff could be a bit more attentive Room is not sound proof - we had some noisy neighbours Restaurant menu is not that exciting - better eating elsewhere Hotel itself needs a refurbishment and a coat of paint - reality is not like the glossy pic on booking.com Glass in windows is see through- don’t forget to pull down the blinds when u r on the loo

We loved the hill top park location and the building imbued with history. The swimming pools deserve special mention. The deluxe rooms are nice and spacious and the staff are friendly and efficient too.

Breakfast was fine but a hotel of this quality should provide proper expresso coffee with fresh milk.

All the staff we met were so friendly helpful and went out of their way to accommodate any request we had, not booking any meals wasn't a problem with the added benefit of just signing the ticket for later payment. would like to mention one member of staff who set the trend in customer satisfaction and her name was Piece who looked after the main bar area (apologies if name not spelt correctly)

We were booked into room 103 (Queen Room ?) the room was excellent in all ways, if there was a small point it would be that the room is very close to the staff maintenance room and consequently, we would hear staff moving their trolleys outside along the paths, the trolleys sounded like small trains passing by

The swimming pool is really nice and relaxing. The ensuite toilet is clean and gorgeous. There are many nice areas for guests to lounge, both indoors and outdoors.

We were relaxing at one of the outdoor tables and a few smokers were nearby at the bin smoking (walkway between the Salon restaurant and the Grand Marquee). Being a non-smoker, it affected me. Would have been better if there were demarcated areas specially for smokers, away from where guests are seated. Perhaps it would have been better if they could smoke at the other end of the Salon restaurant, near to the walkway to Fort Canning park. Thanks!

Clean hotel. Comfortable bed and nice and helpful staff

Generally speaking, I am happy with the experience offered by the hotel. Just minor things like the tap water was leaking, and there was no spare toilet paper in the bathroom(but it was available as soon as we requested it by telephone). And we called the restaurant downstairs just to order our dinner at the table, but we have been charged extra for a "room service"

The stay was a belated b'day treat for my partner and I'm glad I booked the deluxe double garden room. She loves it and so did I. It was beautiful and I love it that the hotel is quiet. We didn't go out much because of the room. The only thing that we did was swim at the pool and just eat and lazed around in the room. It was the most relaxing staycay ever. I highly recommend to book deluxe double garden room for couples.

Breakfast at a hotel is everything in a vacation right? Too bad its not halal.

quaint hotel near Fort Canning Park. comfortable and clean rooms. lobby smelled fresh and had a very nice scent :) staff were helpful, friendly and definitely tried their best to make our stay wonderful and acceded to most of our requests where possible! Dhoby Ghaut mrt and plaza Singapura was a short 10 min walk through the 24 hour linkway.

some facilities, such as the swimming pool and restaurant were pretty old. some of the lights in the room were not working, including flickering lights which were a little annoying. seemed a little short of staff, slightly longer waits for housekeeping. nonetheless, staff were friendly to help out as mentioned in my comment on what was great about the hotel. one thing though - check in process was a little complicated (was charged a portion of the final amount prior to my stay which was a little weird because the amount seemed random. but staff at the front desk promptly reversed it and charged us for the full amount at check in).

I like the location being in the beautiful Fort Canning Park which is in the middle of town, and the historic building and its restoration.

The staff is not well trained. The front-desk lacked warm, the bar had no bar tender one night, and the room had no face towels and hand soap for a couple days. Also, the lobby was full of fake flowers and plants and the decks had artificial turf.

The room is large, contemporary, luxurious and well appointed; tub overlooking the city view. Large bathroom.

The whole hotel is a bit sad and mainly used for weddings; very far by foot or cab from the centers of interest for a tourist in Singapore. Renovated but a little bit tired already. Staff OK but not super warm or especially welcoming. Breakfast room a little drab. Management is very stiff. Overpriced at 280€/ night (not including breakfast), not the best deal in Singapore. Balcony in the room should clean (not accessible).

I liked the hotel's environment with all its greenary. The hotel and my room was very clean and loved the small balcony area with the doors and all. All the staff at the F&B outlets especially Jonathan and Vincent were very professional and helpful.

The staff who checked me in said he gave me the room with the best view. I was in 201 and the view was horrible. Later i found out he was not the check in staff but he is with the concierge who stepped in to support with my check in as it was lunch time. I checked in on June 8th at 12.30 pm.
