YWCA Fort Canning

Room was good, new mattresses. Very nice pool and sun lounges. Quiet place. Very nice staff. Calming atmosphere. Drink/food vending machine. Resturant on site. We ate here twice. Breakfast is available. Location right near Dhoby Ghaut MRT. New cafes here at MRT and some opening soon. 7 mins to Singapura Plaza. huge variety of shops and food and Kopitiam Food Hall. (hawker) Right near Orchard Road. Also 5 mins to Wesley Methodist Church and National Museum of Singapore. Right opposite Fort Canning Park for a beautiful walk and can see Raffles history there. and the Battle box.

the location is almost perfect and the staff are friendly. To go to dhoby ghaut mrt station one can take shortcut through UBS building. Yes, it's still about 250m walk, but, can't complain - this is singapore.

- the housekeeping would knock on your door in the morning (before 9am) if you don't put don't disturb sign. - it seems that the housekeeping only throw out the garbage, do a mild inspect on the bathroom, put the mineral water, and tidy up the bed. They don't clean up the floor thoroughly nor clean up the bathroom thoroughly (I had to ask for a bath soap refill).

The place is homely, neat and comfortable. The location convenient. Only minus point is no proper veggie food.

Very neat, homely stay. Staff especially Vicky and Angeline are very cordial and helpful.

Central location good for sightseeing, friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Free upgrade of room on arrival meant we had spacious room with kingsize bed, park and pool view. Used pool several times, it was lovely swimming in the open air. Buffet breakfast selection very good. We had our evening meal there too both nights as good value, prompt service and enjoyable food. Easy access to MRT train line nearby. Fort Canning park across the road so lovely walking around there.

me and my friends enjoy our stay even though its one night only. the room was big enough for us. food is affordable and great.

only thing me and my friends didnt like is that there is no slippers inside the room. :(

We've got the family room and the room's space is big for 3 or up to 4 people and also the bathroom size is ok. The location is super easy to access to the Fort Canning Park and we can across the street to the Capital land mall or walk to Orchard rd. either by MRT or Bus stop. Guests can also enjoy the breeze at the swimming pool. The Food at the Cafe is value for the money.

They don't have a budget food hawker nearby the hotel. The room's electricity is not turned off automatically, so it's a bit of a waste of energy.

The YWCA Fort Canning was a gem home for our 5D/4N in Singapore. It is 3min from Dhoby Ghaut main train station; 5min from a mall where bus station is also located. We got a triple bed room without breakfast. The room is spic and span because it is cleaned everyday. Towels were changed and bottled water was replaced. My son enjoyed his evening swimming. There was a 24hr laundry area but we were so tired so we did not avail it. It has a restaurant that serves delicious healthy meal until 9pm but a big pricey. The location is perfect! The warm assistance is impeccable! The price is cheap average! We will be back again in this hotel when we visit Singapore.

bedroom slippers were not free

Excellent location opposite park and near shopping mall and MRT station, also walking distance to many areas. Spacious rooms, extremely clean. One of the quietest hotels I have stayed in. Helpful staff and secure luggage storage for arrival or departure days.

Air con/fan system was a little noisy even when switched off, but not a big issue, just used ear plugs.

Nice clean hotel in a good location, close by taxi to main places of interest and also within walking distance of an mrt station. Lovely big pool. Really close to national museum which is well worth a visit.

Not a lot going on in immediate vicinity in terms of restaurants but there is a nice shopping centre close by. A gym would have been nice.

The room was spacious. Both the bed and the pillows were comfortable. We like our beds a bit firmer. The staff was helpful and very responsive and responsible. The air conditioning was also very good.

It was missing some items - there was no hand towel or conditioner, the thermostat didn’t seem to be working so the air conditioning (despite it being working well) wouldn’t turn off so it would actually be cold in the middle of the night.
