Everything was great, besides the issue of our reimbursement. There was a lot of back and forth in order to establish the manner by which we would be able to receive a refund. Only after speaking with the fourth person did we get to a resolution that we may be refunded if it was requested/approved by Booking.com

The foreign staff were amazing, Irusha and the other Singhalese. However when you press any matter to a local Romanian, they start to show the stereotypical Eastern European manners and behavior as perceived by an American (which in my experience is unpleasant and unaccomodating).

The hotel is very well positioned in the city centre and at a walk distance from the Danube’s river sidewalk. The first touch with the hotel premises is the parking which is not at all free of charge but it belongs to the municipality and yes, it is free to park from 8 PM to 8 AM, otherwise you may try to park to the nearby hotel which indeed has a free parking. I was surprised to be kindly asked to pay upfront at check in instead of checkout but I can fully understand why. The room is surprisingly clean considering that from the outside the hotel does not look too appealing. I was welcomed with a cheese cake left on my desk with a very nice welcome note. Very nice indeed. The overall aspect of the room is pleasant. I found the mattress to be very comfortable. Bathroom though is a bit too small and gives a sense of old in discordance with the room’s appealing note. It’s clean though so nothing too much to complain about. Breakfast was all right, with various options but nothing to praise about.

The only thing which I did not like was the AC machine which was noisy and impossible to use. I preferred to keep the window open despite having the risk of mosquitoes coming in. Probably it was just me unlucky.

The entire staff, from the reception to the restaurant is just great. They are professional and seem to enjoy what they do, so they help guests to feel very welcome. Food in the restaurant is very tasty, not too many options, but nicely prepared.

The wi-fi access was a bit poor and disconnecting often. The pillows are really uncomfortable, very thin and soft. I had to arrange 3 pillows one over the other to get to a normal size pillow.

The best thing about the hotel is the central location close to several good restaurants. The staff is very eager to please and I felt I got good value for money overall.

The reception and restaurant service area is located at the same place. For first time check-in this was confusing as I was not sure this is indeed the hotel. Some clearer signage will help.

It's a newly refurbished hotel, everything was redone from scratch(was there previously in 2011). Welcoming staff, very polite and attentive. Would have loved to experience the lovely decorated lobby and dining facilities, alas was not possible in these times due to Covid restrictions. Was offered the alternative of having my breakfast in the room, which was promptly delivered at the requested time. Location near the Old Town center, 5 min walk away from the pedestrian sidewalk near the Danube.

Great staff, rooms of adequate size, good quality furniture, exceptional bed & pillows, bathroom rather small but excellent, spacious shower cabin. And extremely clean and neat. Excellent A/C. Good breakfast spread. All in all, location, comfort, staff, value would have us returning here in the future, definitely.

Parking may be difficult at times provided hotel's very central location and the fact that they do not actually have allocated any parking spots for guests, finding one it's a matter of luck. Tranformation of the very old hotel building into the new Ibis is good but there is still some way to go to properly hide the old building and its finishings.

Room was clean & confortable with stylish interior. I liked the small details about personal safety (rooms were cleaned 24h in advance). Also, I liked the cofee at the restaurant. Staff was nice & helpful.

Rooms are quite small, but for a few nights it's not a problem. We came to breakfast at 9AM and most of the food was gone. They did however bring an omlet and vegetables quickly made for us. Air conditioning unit in the room was too noisy, with fluctuating air flow. I would prefer some instant coffe to be available in the room also. There was only tee available.

Perfect location. Nice clean rooms full of light. Very comfy bed. Perfect breakfast, enough to choose from. Water in the fridge. A welcome note and a treat were waiting for us in the room ;)

Modern facilities, air conditioning available, very clean and tidy.

Breakfast didn’t have much variety, the bed wasn’t completely comfortable but it was ok, small space between chair and bed, and the TV wasn’t smart and only Romanian speaking channels were available.

Everything looks nice and cozy and they offered us apple pie.

While eating dinner there, it took 50 minutes to tell us that they will not serve us a smoothie and come with the food (even if the place was almost empty). Secondly, everything in the room seems clean except the heater. The heater was disgusting. Maybe you will take a look, guys. It is a pitty.
