Reception staff very friendly and attentive. BREAKFAST was excellent, very good food and lovely fresh fruit and juices and great tea and coffee. The girl who served us and prepared and gave us our breakfast was very friendly, service with a lovely smile and so good for the hotel.nead our room ,if you so wished, you could help yourself to tea,coffee, juices and light snacks if you felt like it.Many thanks.

Nothing, everything was So Good. Location was great beside the cathedral and near the Camino out of town.

We have stayed in many many places over the years and indeed on this 'Northern Spain' road trip. None really match the Descanso de Wendy experience. No English spoken (which is fine) making the whole check-in process interesting, but the lady in charge took her time and we got there in the end. What a fabulous place it was too - we had the 'Salon' and it was huge, with seating at one end, table and chairs, lovely bed etc. On top of that, there was a shared kitchen on the first floor, fully supplied with coffee, tea, milk, fresh orange and cakes/biscuits. There was also a small balcony for the evening sun. Breakfast was lovely with freshly prepared scrambled eggs (plus) available in addition to everything else. We were sorry to leave after our three nights.

Really nothing to say here. We found the whole experience wonderful.

Extremely welcoming. I had a huge studio apartment with 2 sets of French doors, lounge, table and tub chairs, massive, very comfortable bed, rocking chair and more. Huge well appointed bathroom. there was a shared full kitchen with terrace balcony with tables and chairs. the kitchen was stocked with tea and coffee, orange juice, milk, biscuits and pastries all free, just help yourself. the breakfast was exceptional and cooked individually for each guest and served at the table by 3 staff for a small number of guests. very personal attention. Very filling breakfast. they did my laundry and returned it dry and nicely folded. i could not fault the hospitality and quality of my room. I was sad to leave! it was also very close the Camino, the Cathedral and Gaudi's bishop's palace.

not the best view, though you could see the spires of the Cathedral from the kitchen balcony. given the quality of the accommodation the lack of a fantastic view was not an issue. I would highly recommend this fantastic accommodation.

The place was very well kept and felt like home. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and clean and had air conditioning. The host was friendly and attentive. They provided an amazing breakfast in the morning too, one of the nicest I’ve had on the Camino. They also provided a laundry service for 8 euro, which was well worth it.

My favorite stop so far on the Camino! The most comfortable bed and pillows. Don’t miss the breakfast (included). Fresh fruit, toast with a variety of jams, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee and delicious scrambled eggs with veggies. The lovely woman that showed us to our room also serves the wonderful breakfast. She is a treasure!

The staff were wonderful and the accommodation is atmospheric and very clean. There is a fridge and a little balcony to enjoy some coffee. We left very early and were able to get a breakfast packed for us.

This was an excellent property. The room had plenty of space and was close to the historic sites. The breakfast was delicious and guests were all treated so lovely. Homemade preserves were a welcomed treat. There was a kitchen room with space in the fridge plus homemade shortbread cookies. We ended up staying 2 nights. Slept well!!

The hotel is located about 150m from the cathedral and the Gaudi palace- everywhere in the city is within easy walking distance. We had the suite and it was lovely. A very large, well decorated and furnished room. Comfortable and quiet. We had full use of the terrace and the refreshments room with tea, coffee, biscuits and cake available at all hours. The breakfast was very good with fruit, toast and a lovely homemade omelette. Nothing was too much trouble for Maria and her staff and we were made to feel very welcome. Ample, free, parking outside the front door. Maria runs an excellent hotel and we very much enjoyed our two night stay. It is, without doubt, one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Thoroughly recommended for anyone wanting a break in this pretty and interesting quiet little city.

Our room was beautiful, modern, comfortable, and had a lovely little balcony with a view of the cathedral towers. The staff were outstanding. Breakfast was excellent, including fresh fruit and an omelet. The location is only about 400M from the cathedral and also near the Camino. There was no noise at all from outside and inside you could hear when people were in the hall but otherwise it was very quiet. There’s also a lovely little kitchen for guest use. We would highly recommend a stay here!

The only thing we missed was the heat wasn’t available in the room and we had to sit with our jackets on in the evening. It was on in the bathroom, but it wasn’t enough to heat the room.

Our room had a lovely balcony . It was nice and spacious with a lovely ensuite . There was a shared kitchen for guests well stocked with teas, coffee, fruits homemade biscuits and pastries . We had planned an early start the following morning and the lady was very accommodating in making sure we had breakfast before setting off . Breakfast was excellent

Thé room did not have air conditioning and it was very warm during the night .
