NH Collection León Plaza Mayor

I arrived while on Camino de Santiago pilgrimage walk. I had sprained my ankle and needed a place to rest up for a few days. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind!! Found me clinic to get evaluated and taxi to get me there. Made me a great custom ice pack and supplied one whenever I asked. They inquired after me several times and provided me with a delightful plate of goodies on my last day wishing me the best. Can't say enough about the staff!!! Room was large and very clean. Good powerful shower. Very comfortable bed. Great internet. Good breakfast buffet. Location is great right on Plaza Mayor and close to many restaurants/cafes, cathedral, etc.

The hotel has literally got all the boxes ticked, from very comfortable rooms ( more than enough REAL pillows ), to spacious bath and bathroom facilities to perfect location to be in central to town. in addition staff were very helpful and seemed like one of the few places where they spoke fluent English and could understand fully your needs.

The hardest part was time of year making it difficult with availability of services ( winter time / end of year at Christmas ). Also their were some small cracks along the floors that probably need some repairs/sealing.

The hotel is very confortable and very well located. If you are coming by car the paid public parking located underneath the hotel is perfect. By the way, there are some designated parking places belonging to the hotel. In terms of facilities and confort this is a typical NH hotel. The hotel is just very close to the barrio Humedo where you can find many bars and restaurants. The breakfast is also very good.

For what I was expecting I would not really change anything.

The location was fantasic, right in the middle of the old town. Although the room over looked one of the main squares it was very quiet. No noise from the outside or the rooms next door. Very comfortable bed and room. The air conditioning was not working when we arrived but the hotel staff resolved the problem as soon as they could. The staff were excellent. We had breakfast on the last morning which was very good.

Getting to the hotel by car is very difficult. Don't follow the sat nav as it will take you along a pedestrian street. Parking everywhere in the city is expensive. The public parking is only €1 per day cheaper then the hotel parking.

The location was perfect, being right on the Plaza Mayora, with underground car parking right below, which was very convenient, very close to the cathedral and the Collegiate of San Isidor. The staff were very helpful in orientating us and there was plenty of room, with a lovely edible surprise awaiting us in the sitting room and plenty of free apples in the reception area

View was a bit ordinary, but didn't really matter as we were only there one night

An excellent hotel good facilities, excellent breakfast . It was a good overnight stop for us.

I was disappointed that we were charged the for a whole day parking, beneath the hotel, when we infact only parked for 17 hours. Also the area around the Plaza Mayor where the hotel was situated was a little rundown and unloved. Certainly not up to the standard of other cities that we visited on our trip. Would not choose to stay in Leon again.

Perfectly located on the plaza mayor, with a public parking space just below. Very comfortable bed and a decent size room. As always, very good breakfast at NH hotels. Staff very friendly.

One minor point for the room was that you could smell a bit of a sewer smell every time you came in. The spaces in the public parking are very narrow. You can barely get out of your car once parked. (Hotel spaces are directly at the parking entrance on -1, pay at the hotel reception before leaving, slightly cheaper than carpark itself)

The rooms were comfortable, overlooking the plaza. The staff was polite and helpful. The location is of course perfect. Very nice experience all together. I would rate 9.

The breakfast was decent but could have more choices. Very small and kind of boring but with excellent ingredients. Some wear and tear in the room but it is anticipated in such buildings.

Nice entrance hall and sitting area. Fridly and helpful staff. Room size and coffee, tea and water offered in room. Close to cathedral.

Unfortunately, the Plaza Mayor does not have nice restaurants or coffee places. The places there are cheap and not inviting. Not the nicest part of the city. Twin beds okay, but have had more comfortable beds on this trip. AC is v very loud.

The staff! Smiling, helpful, fast, sincere and pro. They checked me in at 11.00 am without batting an eye, they made phone calls to find a pet shop for me, helped me with other things, did not try to push their English at me and spoke Spanish as I wanted to. What can I say? And the hotel facilities, and the plaza it's located at, and the historical building... I wish I could've stayed longer!

I really want to find something negative to point out, so that I can help improve this hotel, but I can't :))
