Hotel Mercado by gaiarooms

The hotel and service was excellent. I arrived from Madrid on the Avanza coach the hotel was an 18mins walk. The location of the hotel is in between the Plaza and Gran Via. A great location and in the hub of depending what is your preference - local experience, tourist hotspots, old town and great restaurant and bars. I had an issue with the air conditioner on arrival and the staff were available to solve the issue immediately - although reception service is from 3pm - 10pm. You can check-in online so you are not waiting around at reception and on check-out you can leave your bags safely there. The room was large and had a fairly large terrace, great natural light, view of the old cathedral and good internet connection. All staff speak several languages and are super professional and helpful.

location was great - plenty of life all around you. I was there at Easter and saw heaps of processions etc. Very convenient and handy to all that I wanted to do and see. Room was as spacious as any of its kind and it was spotlessly clean. Restaurants galore all around!

As it was Easter, it was a bit more expensive than I hoped, but understandable. However, there was no excuse for the refrigerator not working and the air conditioner going rogue so that I was up and down all night closing and opening windows, but it was Easter so I didn’t complain. Why don’t hotel rooms leave tissues any more? Plus - I’m too old to cope with showers over bathtubs any more …

This hotel could not have a better location, it is right at the center and you can get anywhere from there by foot I would say. It is also on a quiet street so you don't really have to care about noise. The rooms are super clean and so are the bathrooms.

Our room had a cigarette smell despite the fact that it was a non-smoking room and that was a bit annoying but nothing that really made a huge negative Impact (it was light enough that we didn't even request a room change).

TOP location - just few steps from Plaza Nueva where you can have a drink or eat. the maker is infront of the hotel, worth to go there to feel the spirit of the city. PERFECT for visiting Salamanca

there is no parking around the hotel and it is pedestrian zone, but you can find underground parking right next (5 min). the breakfast is served in another building, in the restaurant next to the hotel (2 min away) - but it was ok!

Very close to the peer, so we were able to have a great walk around, they helped us to find a good spot for parking and food was very good.

I believe they need to be a little more flexible on breakfast oppening hour, cause I saw many people that used the hotel for work and they only oppened at 7, perhaprs they can open earlier with lees options like coffe and fruits, so early birds can find some coffe and move on with their day.

Location was good, Room was Very clean, sheets crisp and white. Room was fabulous with a lovely terrace where you could see the domes of the beautiful buildings.

The room was painted and white walls, although it was exceptionally Clean, it had nothing on the walls, looked very bare. The receptionists were great and knowledgeable but the reception area needed a bit of an update!

The location is very central and price is reasonable. The hotel was quite quiet for such a central location.

Very difficult to park a car in that area, so parking to add to the budget. Very ‘basic’ room but that was more than enough for us as we stayed one night and arrived late to leave early the next day.

Amazing central in the centre of the 'Old Town' of Salamanca, very friendly employees. The hotel even cantacted me to tell me that I had forgotten some items after check out. Doors can be opened by using an app

Not everyone will be able to use the internet-based services. It might be a good idea to offer some more information in a non-digital way.

An amazingly central location in the old city of Salamanca and 20 minutes walk from the train station. There are reception staff and you get a key card, so the digital check in and keys aren't mandatory but aren't difficult either. My room was a bit more dated than the photos but clean and comfortable, and very good value.

The hotel is positioned in a very central location, close to the Plaza Mayor and the central Market. Is possible to reach very simply all the major attractions and places of the town. Also if the breakfast was served outside the hotel, in a bar just few steps, the breakfast was good both for sweet and salted food...
