Good variety of products for continental breakfast. Good coffee! The place isn't prefect as a starting point for trips around Andalusia though (winding road from highway to the hotel). Good parking. Comfortable bungalow with a fridge, stove and much more. Great staff - helpful and amiable. Changing towels each day was a nice surprise in hot days. Quiet at night, amazing views, cooling pool. Wi-fi working perfectly. AC a bit loud, but efficient.

On a 10 days stay anything at all. One of our best stays!

The location was amazing, with lovely views down The Valley. The terrace was just perfect for enjoying a coffee after breakfast and dining. The Chef had the BBQ on at lunch time and the food was lovely.

the room was a little dated, the mattress seemed to be too big for the bed frame and we had to adjust several times in order to get a comfortable sleep. The shower door screen was very old and really not fit for purpose. Eventually it kind of collapsed.

Great hotel with lovely view from the balcony, a great swimming pool, very good food, and smiling personnel. The hotel is very close to hiking paths and Competa itself is a beatiful, picturesque little town with cool restaurants and shops. We recommend visiting Puerto Collado - viewpoint which is 10 minutes by car.

The furniture and bathroom are a bit dated but this is a minor inconvenience

The view down to the Med was fantastic- we’ll worth paying extra for a room with a balcony and view. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Maria, an excellent receptionist. The room was spotlessly clean.

The restaurant was closed for evening meals the two nights we were there but there are plenty of good places nearby. The second breakfast was much better then the first!

The staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The family room was spacious with 2 huge beds & a great sized bathroom. Fairly basic but that was all we needed for our 1 nights stay. Very clean. The pool was the main reason why we chose this accommodation and it didn’t disappoint. We were travelling with 2 young boys so wanted somewhere to cool off and relax during a very hot summer day. Location was excellent, close to all the restaurants & amenities in the village. Breakfast was included and catered for my husband who is vegan, providing soya milk, fruit and cereals & fresh breads. Lovely traditional hotel and definitely worth a stay.

A fridge in the room would have been great as the weather was so hot and it was hard to keep drinks cool.

Excellent free secure parking. Very friendly and helpful staff. Traditional Spanish feel with wonderful views. Air conditioning in the bedroom 😎

No fridge in the bedroom. Restaurant not open in the evening.

Lovely location with beautiful views down the mountain to the sea.The staff are brilliant.Nothing is a bother and they are so friendly.Provided towels for sunbeds around the pool.The hotel could be called dated but for me this adds to its charm and fits in with the character of the village.

Very kind a helpful staff. Phantastic views from the hotel, the room and breakfast terrace. The Hotel was spotless clean. A special thank you to the very friendly receptionist Maria, she was always helpful, kind a solved everything for us! Food was delicious. The hotel is a brilliant starting point for many walks into the Mountains of Tejada and Almijara.

A lovely traditionally Spanish hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The beds were extremely comfortable and amazing views from the balcony. Lovely breakfast included.

The pool wasn’t very clean although it was later in the season I was told it was still open. We also had two days without hot water in our rooms due to an issue.
