Posada de Eufrasio

A little gem easily accessible from the motorway and right in the center of historic Lerma. Quirky decor, comfortable room, great shower and one of the best breakfasts we've ever had travelling from Bilbao to Southern Spain. This will be our regular stopover from now on. The only disappointment was that the restaurant was closed in the evening but we knew that when we booked and had a lovely meal in another Asador in the plaza nearby.

The aircon unit was at floor level beside the bed so was quite noisy and uncomfortable for my husband as it was blowing directly in his ear. It was 38 degrees so we couldn't do without it.

This was our 4th stay at Posado de Eufrasio. The hotel location is excellent and Lerma is a very beautiful town. The only thing that detracted from our last 2 stays was that their restaurant was not open in the evening, but this time it was. Excellent 4 course meal at 45 euros per head including wine. However there are many other good restaurants just minutes away from the hotel.

We had 2 problems with the room which were put right straight away

We loved the location in a very interesting little town. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was lovely, even allowing our dog to come in with us while we had dinner.

Our room looked over the children’s play park which was a little loud until about 22.00 with teenagers congregating. I would choose a different room next time. The rooms radiators were on full and we couldn’t turn them down so it was very hot until the heating went off late at night

It is beautifully appointed with antique furniture and decor, complemented by tasteful, modern pieces. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We didn’t have dinner there, as we had arrived too late, but we were directed to another restaurant which would still be open and allowed dogs. The breakfast was amazing - far too much for us - and incredible value for money.

Excellent location with free parking right outside the hotel, our room was a bit small but very cosy with a comfortable bed and a very good bathroom with walk-in shower (shower gel, soap and shampoo was provided). The room and all communal areas were spotless clean and decorated with attention to detail. Breakfast was outstanding and plenty and prepared by the charming owner herself. The posada is pet friendly and didn't charge any extra fee for our bull terrier. There is also a well equipped gym but I guess due to Corona had to be kept locked. All possible Corona prevention rules were adhered to. We felt safe and welcome and will definitely come back.

We were not able to operate the aircon but thankfully it was quiet outside and we left the balcony door open all night.

This is one of the most delightful hotels I have ever stayed in. It is perfect in every way and centrally placed for exploring one of the most beautiful towns in Spain (Lerma). Also perfectly placed as a stop over on journey from Costa Blanca to ferry at Santander. No evening meals available and would one day arrive for one of their michelin starred lunches. (Served until 4pm)

Quirky and very Spanish. Easy to park and find. Clean and comfortable.

We booked because we like a restaurant but at the last minute they notified us that the restaurant would only be open at lunchtime. Because a large party arrived, the restaurant did open and the food was excellent.

Very comfortable charming hostel. Complimentary water and toiletries a plus. Great location 2 minutes to main square with bars and restaurants. Highly recommend as a stopover on way to Santander.

Beautiful property, very cozy, clean and comfortable, amazing family received us with open arms!! The restaurant is OUTSTANDING, one of best dinners/breakfast we’ve ever had :)

This is one of our favourite stopping places when we are travelling South or North between Spain and the UK

It was a shame the restaurant was only open lunchtimes mid week so other than breakfast we missed the good food here, but these are difficult times and we are always made to feel welcome in every other respect.
