Hotel Romerito

Hidden gem. Don’t get fooled by the 2 stars or the location. This hotel is excellent. A peaceful oasis a bit far from the touristic areas, yet strategically close to the airport. The rooms and common areas are very clean and in good state, the courtyard is lovely and curated in every detail. We needed a place to work remotely during our short stay, and this hotel made it very enjoyable, sitting in the sun or shade in its relaxing atmosphere. The staff was available, kind and helpful.

There isn’t much around it at walking distance.

I liked that we had a bus stop accross the street, it was easy to come and go. Room was fine, it was hot if we wanted to. They replaced our towels, tidied up the room and made the bed when we were out. Beds have really good matresses. Plenty of storage for our stuff.

We needed a bin in the room, only had a tiny one in the bathroom. The aircon was periodically buzzing too loud during the night, which was always waking us up. As well, we could hear the neighbours turning on their shower or sink at night, which was another constant noise that was waking us up. This is a negative aspect just because we slept very little, but I guess there's not much to be done regarding the aircon and wall thickness - heavy sleepers wouldn't mind. Generally, they did their best.

The rooms were always very clean and tidy at the end at the day. The waiter at the restaurant was polite and friendly. The reception staff were always very kind and helpful and even accepted my Amazon orders on my behalf.

Sometimes the other guests were too loud. The doors are a bit too thin and you can hear guest walking by your room. This can be very bothersome when it's in the middle of the night.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean. The attached restaurant was staffed by gentlemen and the food was really good ad well priced. The patio area is great to relax after dinner or have breakfast in.

Although Los Prados is a quiet habitation on the train line to Malaga centre; remember that it is the Alora line so at certain times of the day the trains are infrequent.

It was spotlessly clean. The rooms and in particular the bathrooms were modern with good walk in showers. The cafeteria/bar was great with special mention for the French fries! Staff good. courtyard lovely. We will return to this predominately Spanish hotel.

Location wise it is not near the centre and so have to factor in using the nearby bus and/or taxis which are easily attained.€1.40 for bus and about €12 for taxi from centre of Malaga. We knew the location when we booked and so all good for us but you do need to know.

Great bed, nice shower, beautiful courtyard, tremendously friendly staff all around, covered parking for an affordable prices, neat and clean rooms. 100% would stay here again.

We were in a room with a double bed and a single which made it feel very small. The bathroom is also small, but both were more than sufficient to a short stay. It also took longer to get there from the airport than I expected because there's not a great direct route, but still less than 15 minutes and worth the drive.

Close to the airport, easy parking, nice looking hotel. Good for very short stay, just to sleep and go. Nothing special but also not bad. If I would be traveling again and would need to stay one night outside of Malaga centre I would book it again.

Room is very tiny, smaller than expected. When there are two people with suitcases you must be good at tetris game to figure out how to organise yourself.

The restaurant staff, in the evening, were fantastic but in the morning the women on the bar was abrupt, thought cleaning the bar was more important than serving us and was approaching being downright rude. No típ for her. The room was clean but noisy from other occupiers. Not much in the way of sound proofing. On the whole it was ok and close to the airport.

The only real complaint was the woman on the bar serving breakfast. Arrogant and rude. So replace her with a smiling person who thinks the customer is important and you have a better front fir your customers.

Easy and fast checkin. Close to airport. Easy parking. Very friendly and efficient staff. Super clean.

Front door could be better insulated from noise as we could hear some guests arriving at night. Plastic on the floor of the showers could make them more silent when neighbours take a shower late at night. The double bed is a bit too small, looks like 140x195 if I’m not mistaken.
