Hotel Ritual Maspalomas - Adults Only

The breakfast is a good buffet and the scrambled eggs are excellent, try. The staff are so helpful and nice I couldn't find fault with them at all. Lots of information in reception and maps if you want to go exploring. The location is excellent for the Yumbo centre and of course the bars and clubs

Could do with a lick of paint as it looks a bit faded...Because of its location, it can be noisy but if you keep your balcony door closed and the AC on it drowns it out

The room on arrival was on an exhaust duct and therefore a bit noisy, but the team at the Ritual Hotel Maspalomas was very committed to accepting my request for another room and was able to arrange for me to change rooms after two days. From here my stay was perfect, I had booked a room on the 4th floor, from where you have a beautiful sea view and early risers or those who stayed awake can enjoy the wonderful sunrise. The rooms themselves are very spacious, the separate seating area is also very nice and the Nespresso coffee machine on the 4th floor is a big plus for me as a coffee junkie.

I only missed a real wardrobe and a safe.

There's plenty of space in the rooms, location is great, staff was very kind. There are two TV's (although we didn't really used them). Beds were comfy enough. In general we like this hotel.

There was some renovation done not a long time ago, but it obviously was a quick/cheap one. At the moment it's still ok, but in a year or two the hotel will require some major works for sure. E.g. in our bathroom the paint was already coming off. I'd also recommend making some changes to the bar - The drinks are really awful. I'd drink a lot more if the quality was better. The WiFi also needs some upgrade as it's barely working in the rooms. That said, the price was really good, so if you don't care about small issues then we would still recommend it.

No street views I guess. * Located directly next to the entertainment centre with bars, clubs, restaurants and souvenir shops. * Good cleaning service. * Well-equipped supermarket (open everyday 8.00-22.00) situated directly next to the entrance of the hotel.

* I had difficulty in using the two TV sets, each situated in the different part of the room. Reported it to staff upon check-out and they promised to look into that. * Some parts need little refurbishing * Music from clubs can be heard until 3 pm. Get earplugs or join the party

I was a little worried before going to the hotel reading the reviews about no hot water, the noise and the cold pool. We stayed there a week in February and it was lovely!! The room is spacious, bright, airy. The shower is excellent, the housekeeping is daily and if you want them to change your towels, you just need to leave them on the floor. Location wise, most of the rooms are looking out towards Mykonos (a night club at the Yumbo centre) which can be loud but in all honesty, I didn’t have a single bad night sleep. It was absolutely fine. The receptionist Kelvin was super nice and he gave us some really good suggestions on restaurants and they were all amazing. The food in Gran Canaria in general is really good. The pool was great and we went in a few times. The water temperature was around 20 degrees so it is chilly when you start going into the water but after a minute or so you’re used to it.

Not a massive fan at the food of the pool bar. Price wise it’s fine but it’s just very simple. There is coffee shop literally two doors down called Cappuccino House and they make delicious breakfast and lunch. Go there instead.

The apartment has a nice size, the beds were very comfortable, good bathroom, kitchenette was very basic, but functional, and the sofa at the living room was amazingly comfortable. The staff was amazingly friendly from reception to bar and not forgetting housekeeping and maintenance. The Hiperdino express supermarket just a few steps from the entrance is a big plus, and Yumbo just a few meters from the property.

the green color on the walls of the room were not appealing. Wi-Fi on apt. 105 was really weak on the living room, with some dead spots; there was better Wi-Fi connection at the swimming pool area than inside the apartment. Nice pool area, although the soft refurbishment on the swimming pool was starting to crack and tiles were missing. For those driving, parking space is not always easy to find, depending on the season and time of the day.

Being next to Yumbo shopping centre, the apartments are at a great location. Everything within walking distance. Downside of this great, central, location is, of course, the noise that comes with it. Until around 04:00 h. The apartments are conveniently equipped with a big flat screen TV, good working fridge of medium size, a microwave and so on. Wifi also works well. The bathroom could do with better lighting as it is not positioned above the mirror, but aside. Rather inconvenient when shaving. The idea of using LED lights to save energy is a good thing, only that it's well worth to know that LED lights are available in different colour temperatures. Not all LED lights should be in 5000 K or more. Just try 2700 K LED lights in the living room or the bed room.

The sound insulation is mediocre at its best and could be improved. In the sleeping room, which is at street side, one can literally hear the tyres of the cars on the road surface. Thus there's room for improvement, even though you can sleep well. Some hotel guests mistake the 'nude zone' for a 'daylight darkroom', that's a bit of a pity. Otherwise it's a great place to sunbathe.

The staff (reception, cleaning..) has been wonderful and helpful. Room always clean.

No gym. Telephone not working in the room. Safe box not present in the room. Breakfast too expensive for what offered.

Had a great stay at Rituals. Location is unbeatable, right behind Yumbo. The pool area is very cute and ideal for relaxing in the sun with some great people watching! Also the breakfast available in the mornings was very nice with some good options. The woman tending the breakfast area and pool bar in the afternoon is really friendly.

not major complaints, but Wifi was a bit slow and instead of having a double/queen bed, we had 2 single beds pushed together (cuddling was awkward since there was a big gap you would fall into).

The location near the Yumbo center is very convenient. I was upgraded to a Deluxe Junior Suite and it was very comfortable with lots of space and well appointed including a nice balcony. The bathroom is nice size, with a nice walk in shower with hot water and good pressure. I really like that they offer a "naked zone" for sunning in the buff plus a nice pool area that is not clothing optional but bring your skimpiest speedo because there is plenty of skin on display here. Nice snack/drink bar at the pool. This property is gay-centric. All in all, this will be my preferred hotel to stay in while visiting Gran Canaria.

One of the downsides of being close to the Yumbo is that you do get some noise from the clubs that back up to the hotel, ear plugs really help if trying to sleep before they close (around 4 AM). The Ritual chain is not known for maintenance. Paint touch up and upgrades of equipment don't seem to be a priority but the housekeeping staff keeps things clean. The food options on site and lacking, but there is so much available within a short distance this isn't a key concern.
