Gran Sol Hotel

Lovely spacious room with sea view, very clean and comfortable beds, good air conditioning, very kind and helpful staff, very nice breakfast, good coffee, amazing location, nice pool and communal areas, lots of hot water for showers and baths.

Bathroom and shower were a bit old and worn/marked, though it was nice to have a bathtub. Bathroom door lock and lock on door to balcony were broken. Rail on balcony is too low and could be dangerous. It would be nice to have a second bin in the main room, currently there's only one in the bathroom. It would have been great to have a fridge in the room.

The views are reason enough to stay. The room was standard, no frills but the view, the little balance and a fridge filled with cool beverages was a nice touch. Also, as were traveling with our small dog, we were happy that pet cleaning fee was reasonable and the hotel put up a balcony net to offer some protection for her. The customer service we received was great. The breakfast was filled with lots of options. Everything from healthy fruit to local sweets. We will definitely stay here again.

The location was excellent. The rooms were very clean. There was a good varied breakfast. A fair sized swimming pool. Very convenient for train to Barcelona

It was easy to hear talking from the adjacent room. I was unaware it was dog friendly till I arrived. The shower was over the bath and difficult to get into bath for older person as was only a small space to get in at curved end which was slippy.

Great location . Nice little baranda with Amazing Sea views from all rooms and the constant sound of waves which I find pretty relaxing. Sant Pol is a quiet small village if you want to chill. For more fun &party Calella (next town ) is your choice.

Walls might be a bit thin but we stayed on a on a school night and not on peak season and we had the top floor for ourselves. Rooms very clean and very friendly staff with good english so no complains at all.

The hotel has everything you need. Rooms are ok with great balconies/terrace and sea views. The pool is really nice and many beaches nearby. The best is the restaurant, awesome dishes. 20% off if you stay at the hotel and book a table

The only inconvenient is for the elderly as the hotel is located on top of a hill. Unless you go everywhere by car I would not recommend it to people with issues when walking

This is a really good hotel with lots to like. Exceptionally clean, well maintained, nice rooms with fabulous sea views. Very nice pool area, and the buffet breakfast is of high quality. The hotel is linked to Girona University as a training centre for young staff seeking experience in the trade, which is great. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely large room with balcony. Lovely view of the sea and very quiet.Very efficient air conditioning. Good choice for breakfast. Nice pool and plenty of loungers. Close to town and beaches. Very nice restaurant with children’s menu.

Could have been more choice of food at the bar.

We loved everything about it - location and view were the starters but the quality of the room and the breakfasts exceeded our expectations. However, the pool and the restaurant for lunch and dinner were not even on our radar and both were incredible !

We only stayed 3 nights - wished we’d stayed longer !!

Beautiful ocean view, nice pool, decent restaurant in the hotel, good breakfast .

Our minibar was not refilled every day, beach view partially obstructed by the other hotel’s roof, 10 minutes walk to the train station and to the beach.
