Hotel Riverton

The roof top bar was lovely for a pre dinner drink as in Feb it was already dark and the view was good. Bar staff very helpful and lovely to meet a fellow countryman in Lawrence who gave us some tips on places to visit. Reception / breakfast room staff all very friendly, helpful and polite. Loved the dresses the female staff wore - comfy! Lovely breakfast each morning. If you want a window seat you need to book which we didn't realise until it was too late! We stayed in a twin inside room, facilities good, comfy beds and room clean.

I was slightly confused as to why there were no plugs for sinks especially as facecloths provided?

Over all, a fantastic stay, thanks! Super service (and food as well as drinks) in the Skyview bar & restaurant, same in the reception, as of service. Maybe not quite so much at the breakfast: restaurant. this morning, it seemed that the staff was simply not ready for opening at 7 o'clock? As of the superior junior suite, it's lovely, but some of the furnishings and finishes need a bit of an upgrade (eg. the nails and skrews sticking out of the very worn out couch, one tv set not working amongst others). As for the Spa area in it self, fantastic! - unfortunately, we just had some very loud, very young people coming in, playing music and taking photos... then we had to leave. A big pity.

The highlight for me was definitely the breakfasts - they were fantastic! The selection was varied and the quality of the food was excellent. The room itself was okay. It was clean and had all the necessary amenities, but it wasn't anything extraordinary. However, I was very impressed with how clean everything was. Everyone I interacted with was very nice and welcoming. From the front desk to the breakfast staff, they all went out of their way to make sure that my stay was as comfortable as possible.

Unfortunately, the walls are a bit too thin so it is possible to hear if neighbors are playing some music, closing doors, doing other louder activities... Similarly, the air vents are a bit noisy (but you can turn off the one in your room, so that is actually not an issue).

Very cool vibe everywhere! Rooftop bar was an amazing view, service was great up there too! We had a Deluxe room on Fifth floor with river view. It was stunning and cozy. Breakfast was also delicious! The day we left our checkout was super early—4am -but we requested a taxi the day before with front desk and they offered us a to go breakfast bag which was a life saver!

we struggled a bit to figure out how the lights worked— but in the end we figured it out. I would have preferred a sink in the bathroom vs room, and the light above sink was not the best. But all in all not a dealbreaker.

We booked this Junior Suite as it was the only available room in Gothenburg! We were touring Scandinavia and it was convenient for the Stena Line Gothenburg - Frederikshavn ferry which we were book on the following day. After booking, we found out that Metallica were in concert twice over the weekend, hence the lack of availability and price! The room was excellent, huge bed was very comfy too, but the TV channels disappointingly minimal for the price we paid. Oh, and a shower to die for!

Price was expensive, and we have never stayed in a Suite before, but I guess you get what you pay for! The room was excellent, and breakfast was very good too, living up to expectations.

The front desk staff was friendly , helpful & always willing to answer questions & engage. Breakfast was wonderful & again breakfast crew was welcoming & constantly refreshing the buffet & kept tables clean & plates removed. Our room was wonderful, although I would do your homework & makes sure it is a redone , deluxe room. For us the location was perfect, we could walk everywhere but out of the direct line of the train station

Great location, I loved looking out over the water from our room. The spa in the basement is small, but mighty. Very much enjoyed the saunas, steam room, and warm pool. Breakfast was great, I just wish I had been reminded that they stop serving at nine-ish. Our kids did not make it down in time to eat. But it was an amazing spread! Staff was friendly, room was very large and comfortable, bathroom was gorgeous, and perfectly outfitted. we had a nightcap at the bar, the view is amazing, and the drinks were delicious. It was fun to talk to the bartender. Couldn’t ask for anything more, aside from another several nights there. we will be back!

our only tiny issue was that we didn’t know that breakfast ended so early

Very interesting interiors, amazingly nice stuff and professional at the same time with a very unique combination of both. Rooms are nicely sized unlike same range of hotels. Location is amazing in the middle of the city and really close to everything.

I have do not disturb for the housekeeping to clean, because I was working on Night Shift, yet the room wasn’t cleaned after the first round of cleaning in the morning . But that is too minor. 

The breakfast selection was really excellent, hot food, fresh rye bread, pastries, cereal, fresh fruit, hot food, juices, fresh yummy coffee. The hotel was lovely and clean. The room was gorgeous, all glass bathroom, great shower, very comfy bed. Very stylish! The lovely and very friendly. We visited the skybar on our first night for my boyfriends birthday. The food was really good and great service. The hotel was right on the river. 10 min walk into town. We loved our stay in the Hotel Riverton ❤️

Week day breakfast finished at 9.30 so we missed this. The weekend breakfast was 11.00

The room was very nice, clean and spatious (however we got a free upgrade). Breakfasts are very good and offer wide variety of foods for everyone. Our room did have just a view of a street behind the hotel, but it was quiet at least.

The main downside for us of the rooms is the design of bathrooms. They have just glass doors with misting in the middle (think shower glass doors, but for the toilet as well) that do not shut completely and do not provide almost any privacy. The shower and the toilet are behind these glass doors, the sink is right next to the bed. You cannot use the bathroom facilities without waking up the person sleeping next to you. It looks nice, however it is evident that the architect went for looks instead of practicality here.
