Kreuz Bern Modern City Hotel

The hotel is conveniently located, great set of restaurants all around. The staff is simply wonderful and I cannot stop raving about them. Right from checkin to support provided to fix our baggage handle issue was outstanding. Similarly when we connected with the reception to be able to heat some food and she was so very helpful. I must say that this was the best service that I experience in all of my 15 days stay in Switzerland. The bed sheets were always crispy white.

The bathrooms are very very tiny and they were really the reason for we moving out a day earlier. The rooms as also quite tight. The rooms also carry noise from outside. We had a festival going on and to get fresh air in we had to keep windows open and it was noisy. The festival was both an advantage and the noise I would forgive.

The Kruez Bern was a wonderful Hotel! The location was absolutely perfect! It was a 10 minute easy walk from the train station and right out the front door, either left or right were hundreds of restaurants, shops, gelato and fantastic sightseeing! The gym was small but very nice and had good fitness choices. But, go in the morning as the skylight above lets in a lot of Sun in the afternoon and the room gets very hot! The breakfast was very good with ample choices of fresh fruit, eggs and bread choices. The cappuccino was excellent too! The staff was friendly and helpful as well. Overall, this was a great experience! You can't get a better location than this!

The hotel was just lovely, very simple, but very cozy. It had everything I expected - very good breakfast (what's more, I could not eat unpasteurized milk products at the time and the staff was so helpful to look it up for me - they even brought the cheese packages for me to see), comfortable small and cozy room, free wi-fi, perfect location (Old Town Bern, just a few minutes from the train station, all kinds of shops around) and just this calm and enjoyable vibe to it. The staff at the reception was also very welcoming and helpful. Thank you!

There was nothing I didn't like.

Friendly and helpful staff. We love the coffee and tea section on the 4th floor. Location is very good, very near to the station and it was easy to get here. We love the balcony👍🏻🥰. The room is spacious, comfortable bed, great lighting, dimming light above the bed, pillow is very fluffy, wardrobe is👍🏻. The bathroom is spacious and shower is good with powerful jet of water. We especially love that the single bed is separated from the other queen bed in another room, albeit a shared bathroom. It has its own air-cond, telephone, bedside lamp, side table. In short, it has its own privacy for the third person.

Breakfast offered everything I needed and as far as I see it I could have had different breakfast every day since there was so many things offered. The staff was also great, especially one receptionist who was extremely helpful and friendly There are also different rooms on each floor that offer a place to relax, read, drink coffee or tea, exercise (small gym) and the best thing…the terrace on the rooftop.

I wouldn’t mind a bit more versatile food choices with breakfast, especially fruit and jam

Best location ever. In the heart of old Town and close to train station. All of the staff was friendly, especially Matte ( l hope I spelled her name right) with smile on her face all the time. They allowed me to keep my bag in the hotel to explore the city till chech in time. I appreciated the free transportation and used it randomly to get the feel of the city. Bern is amazing, so is Zurich, but if I have to choose one, it will be Bern . Such a unique old town.

I only wish it was a little cheaper. But no regret.

I arrived early in the morning and the receptionist checked me in early. She was also willing to change my room since it was noisy. She was very welcoming. The breakfast was very good and available until 11 am. I had a single room which was very small but I was only there for two nights so I didn't mind. I did use the gym which had a treadmill, elliptical and bike. All worked. I would have liked tea/coffee pot in my room but there was tea/coffee on the fourth floor that was available all the time. The location in the center of Bern was perfect for me as I was visiting family in the hospital. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location near the central areas in Bern, lovely restaurants, walkable from train station. Very helpful staff, provided free bus services intra city as well. Clean functional room, cute facilities (like a game room, tea room, computer room, gym, roof terrace). The hotel also remembered this was our honeymoon and decorated the room, touching gesture! Breakfast buffet was nice and varied.

There was a queue at check out on Monday morning and the single counter staff was struggling. Her colleague/manager seated nearby was unable to assist. As we were rushing for the train (to leave for the airport), we eventually "jumped" queue to pass her the room key (we had already made payment and settled accounts the day before). Perhaps the hotel could consider hiring more staff to man the counters particularly during peak hours.

Location is convenient for a short stay in Bern Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable Free city transportation pass was nice We had a triple room and it was very comfortable, with a nice double bed and a separate single bed in a separate room. For a parent with a few kids this was a very comfortable layout. Breakfast was good

The price was pretty high The communal mini bar takes only Swiss coins so you have to go downstairs to the front desk to get change, kind of defeating the purpose of having these on the floors
