The Hide Flims Hotel

Right at the centre of Flims, very modern and great views. Breakfast was also great. Decor is beautiful and great large balconies. The terrace on third floor is also open if you want to relax or sit there or even eat. They have plenty chairs and table there placed if you want to relax. The hotel is also surrounded by many restaurants and shop so you could just walk about. Bus stop right in front so you can easily access surrounding areas without a car. But to arrive at the car, you must have a car as there are no trains nearby.

Although the hotel is very clean and well kept, yet there were few damages on the walls and furnitures here and there that they could easily patch up. Its after all a Design Hotel and those little details were hindering the overall aesthetics of the hotel. But dont let that stop you from staying here. I do highly recommend if you are looking for a nice hotel for a ski trip or simply even just relax.

There were many many things to like at the Hyde hotel, but I'll name just a few: The Spa was amazing, even though not everything was running, we had the spa all to ourselves and it's huge, beautifully decorated and extremely comfy., Do not miss it when you visit that hotel. The room had a different layout from any other hotel that I've stayed at, really smart and original. The personel: we interacted with three employees (check in, breakfast, check out), they were all extremely nice

Maybe a more private toilet?

Fantastic location within a very short walk to the main access points to the mountain infrastructure (summer and winter) and more or less ski-in/ski-out (depending on snow situation/time of year). Good size rooms with all the amenities one comes to expect at this price point. Good selection of restaurants/food options on site. In-house cinema. Spa. Easy access to the Stenna mall and shops. Short walk to the main town center and more restaurant options.

The hotel is integrated into the main Stenna mall building (not only a bad thing) over separate floors and mall zones. Depending on what guest are looking for that is or is not a great thing (e.g. shoppers staring at your morning coffee in the breakfast area). The room we had for our two-night stay has a see through bathroom (dark tinted glass walls towards the main room), not something we would actively choose for a romantic weekend without kids.

I came for skiing. The ski room is about 100m from the entrance of the gondola. The path is level: no ascents or descents, and no stairs. Very comfy. Room and bed were comfortable. Very good breakfast. Staff was very friendly. The hotel is a part of a big shopping complex which has shops, cinema, galleries and more. But it also has a large supermarket and a pharmacy, very convenient for travellers. There is a large smart TV, which I could use to stream content from my phone. There was a nice small balcony with mountain view.

The spa did not have a hottub.

general design is nice. rooms are comfy. spa is nice. restaurant is good. parking convenient - also for electric cars… overall a positive experience.

We have stayed here several times now. Great breakfast with vegan/vegetarian options! The woman at the breakfast service was so kind and very thoughtful. And this is usually the case: the staff here are very real and kind. We did some local hikes and always hit the spa/sauna in the afternoon for several hours of relaxation. The facilities in wellness are outstanding, especially their bio sauna and the fruit and tea selection for a quick snack.

The rooms vary in size and this time ours was a bit smaller. There were a few operational issues that we experienced: only one key, understaffing at breakfast, no conditioner in the room. The hotel staff was great and handled them very efficiently and well, but it’s worth a mention that they still had an impact on the mood of the stay.

Location is perfect. Breakfast was great. The room is really beautiful. The overall design of the hotel is fantastic and we absolutely loved it. Staff was very efficient and attentive to our requests. I have pet allergies and sent in a request before we arrived to ask that all cushions and velvet bed covers were removed and that the room would be cleaned with extra care and aired before we arrived and the staff was very helpful and very understanding, which makes a huge difference. Now if I could give one piece of feedback on behalf of people who like me have allergies to pet hair, it would be to keep some rooms pet-free. Just like a cook wouldn't dream of adding nuts to a dish he would serve to a person who had nut allergies, hotels and hosts should be more mindful of pet hair allergies.

location is fantastic

The elevators are painfully slow. Might seem not important but with just two elevators serving 4 floors you can wait a while at peak times. There is parking available but you have to get past the guard who didn’t speak German or English and really did not want us to enter. This is only an issue if you arrive eg on Saturday or Sunday in winter when it’s sunny and busy. breakfast room is clearly a bit small and they have to split you into arrivals times. The room is good but note you can see anyone showering as it is glass with minimal frosting. so if you are just friends that might be awkward

The breakfast is great, the location is very convenient for all possible intents and purposes, the rooms are excellent, with wonderful bathrooms. The gym was excellent, I never used the sauna, but the facilities looked very welcoming.

Nothing to dislike. Note: there is no place in the rooms to prepare your own snacks, but there is a small fridge.

the hotel was very dog friendly and allowed even access to the breakfast room which was great not to leave the dog alone in the room. the hotel is very modern, beautiful interior and has amazing facilities for a full filled holiday experience. especially the next door access to the slopes, sushi bar and an in-house cinema made our say unforgettable.

I would have wished for an hairdryer in the room.
