OwlStay The Salt

This was one of our favourite stays in Taiwan! The staff were very accomodating and friendly during our stay there. I really liked the decor of the place which was simple but cozy. Because it was located right by the beach, we borrowed bikes from the accomodation at no cost and had a great time cycling along the well paved, idyllic bike trail. A short walk away was also lovely Japanese izakaya restaurant. I would highly recommend this place for any couples, small group of friends or small families who are travelling to Hualien for a relaxing stay near the ocean.

The location of the hotel was great and near to the beach. You can see the beach from the room balcony and can enjoy the sunrise and sunset view. The room was very spacious and clean. Bathroom was clean too. The hotel also provided breakfast and bicycles to explore the area. Very near to Dongdamen night market, convenient with restaurants nearby. Peacefully area.

Nothing that we didn't like. Just that during our stay the weather was rainy hence were could get a great sunrise view. Other than that no complains of the stay. very pleasant and nice. Will stay there again.

Location, room & the view was great; very cosy, very clean.

Internet was a joke and extremely slow. Staff was - while mostly friendly - not that helpful or interested in giving tips about visiting the surrounding areas or anything else. The supposed breakfast was as much of a joke as the internet-speed. AC is the general areas is turned off by staff after they leave in the evening, so it becomes extremely, extremely sticky by the morning.

Very clean and decent place

Staff had to go back early. We had to obtain door pass code, find our rooms and manage by ourselves. Lack of explanation of facilities; eg. how is breakfast serve? What is provided for breakfast? Also, no lift. Had to carry our luggages to 4th floor

The location was amazing, opposite the beach with a beautiful view. It was also close to the night market. Our room was huge and very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was ok but perhaps could have been better if prepared on site.

It was a really nice stay! Free coffee at the reception & the public area was really relaxing. I wish my room is that style too! So chill and really worth the money. Breakfast also yummy. They lend bicycle too!

The WiFi was not good. no convenient store nearby please make sure you get what you need before your stay

Location was great, just around the corner from the night market. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The view from the room was wonderful. They had free bikes to borrow.

Alas the road was quite busy so it interrupted the sound of the waves! Also no lift but really don’t let this put you off, it’s a lovely place

The rooms were spacious and clean. You can see the ocean outside and they provide free bikes and breakfast.

There are only stairs so if you have too many luggages or not comfortable walking up the stairs you should choose a different accommodation.

Breakfast was average but location was great as it is walking distance to night market and right opposite the sea which is next to cycling track and the hotel provides bicycles to use for free!

The property was clean and cute. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic!
