28 Shu Xiang Hotel

The room size was good and beds were comfortable. The playground right in front of the hotel and some toys prepared by the hotel was a great help in keeping kids entertained. The neighbourhood was also relatively quiet and if u don't mind walking, shopping malls (Mitsukoshi, Top City) are about 25-30mins away, Feng Chia Night Market about 15 mins. The free flow snacks at the lobby was great gesture and there were about 5 choices for the packed breakfast and they were tasty.

There was nothing much around the hotel, night market, restaurants and train station were at least 10 mins walk away. Although the room was clean, they could maybe step up on maintenance; our bath tub's hand shower was faulty and the lever fell off even after getting them to fix on day 1.

I had low expectations, so when I arrived it was a pleasant surprise to see how clean and aesthetically pleasing it was. I felt very reassured here, especially since I usually suffer allergies if the place is not sufficiently clean. Here, I had no problems at all. I eagerly came back to the room after a day out. the service was excellent and helpful. regarding food, there were two options, either we got a coupon for macdonalds, or we could have food delivered to our room. the food was very satisfying. I would stay here again.

the toilet was a little small for my liking, and the windows always needed to be shut before I used the facilities. also the shower area sometimes wet the toilet seat corner, so that was a bit inconvenient. but I won't harp on this too long because this are relatively minor pet peeves of mine. Overall I was still extremely happy - especially with the bidet

Breakfast was alright, the drinks served were superb (soya bean and red tea were nice). Main dish was good but not entirely our kind of breakfast. Location was in a quiet corner of a street, so it is not disruptive for nights. Has a small park in the front to do morning walk with my kid. Hotel facilities were well kept and maintained, including the ones in the room. Free flow instant noodles provided, coke and sprite as well! For parents bringing babies / infant, this hotel has a plus point which is a UV and heat box for usage located at the lobby. I did not need to use sterilizing pills for my stay. Super convenient for us who was traveling with our 8months infant. Uber-eat is all around the area and Feng Jia night market is about 10-15mins walk away. Shopping mall is about 20mins walk down the stream.

The baby cot was not the one caged up, but the one laid onto the bed or floor for the kid to sleep. Caused abit of hassle for us because our infant was not used to sleeping on that and kept playing with us thinking he was on bed with us. Would be perfect if there are caged cot available so to place infants confined in the cot temporarily.

Nicely designed place, spaciously looking lobby with a lot of typical Taiwanese snacks and drinks (for free) as well as noodles for unexpected hunger. Friendly staff with limited English skills. Room is spacious, nice view and small balcony. The decoration and utilities have been chosen with care and make you feel comfortable. Breakfast was moderate yet well cared for.

If you're a bit taller (like myself, still below 2 meters), the bed is too short (however wide it is!). The coffee might be free but really tasted not great. Although the metro station is at 10 minutes walk, as is Taichung Central Park, it's quite far out of central Taichung and thus the TRA and HSR stations are further away. THe toilet might get quite wet when taking a shower.

The breakfast was simple and good in taste. And, the staff was so nice to keep in touch with me by LINEs. The 24-hour food & drink bar is filled up with snack and drink which is good for the guests.

The parking lot is a bit distance from the hotel. We need to drop off the luggage first then park. It would be a bit difficult during raining weather.

Location is good, only 10 minutes walk to night market. Reception staffs are friendly to help. Also, there are some food at lobby such as cookies, drinks, instant noodles prepared by hotel for free. No need to worry to be hungry in the mid night:)

Room space is a bit small but still very cozy.

This hotel offers quite a lot of details for frequent travellers. Clean room, relaxing lobby, useful amenities, and tucked away from the busy Taichung.

The walls are thin. Unfortunately you can hear easily the neighbours either downstair, upstair, next door... Or the people around me must be really loud in life. For a light sleeper its quite tough to fall asleep.

Everything inside is new and clean. And I live at 5F, there is a nice view.

The toilet is not as power as I thought.

Friendly staff, cozy room. And, there is a small park in front of the gate.

Resort doesn’t provide parking. Have to park a valet parking with 5 min walk.
