Hotel Relax I

I was very happy I chose Relax 1 hotel for my visit to Taipei. The location was very convenient, being so close to the train station and mrt station. The room was spacious and clean. It was also very quiet. We had a family room and it was enough space for the three of us. The staff was really helpful, and assisted with all requests. Hotel facilities were excellent - they even offer a self-service laundry to their guests. There is a coffee machine in the common room as well. Very good value for money!

Everything was good.

As a solo traveller the room I had was perfect for a 2 day layover. The room had plenty of space to have my belongings lying around, and the room was comfortable. The location of the hotel was convienent. Only a 2 minute walk (if you aren't stopped by the traffic lights) from Taipei Main Station. Also the toilet was amazing. The heated toilet seat and bidet was awesome.

Some of the downsides were the wifi and shower. I was having issues with the internet speed and found myself losing connection to access of wifi while staying in my room. As for the shower; the shower head wouldn't sit properly on the wall mount. Aside from that, everything else made it to be a pleasant and convenient stay. 8/10.

Hotel was conveniently located near the Taipei main station (5 mins walk). Took us longer to find the hotel initially as it was within a building but was ok. The staffs were very friendly throughout the whole stay including the housekeeping personnel. Theres a lounge for free coffee, tea and some biscuits. The lounge also comes with washing machine and dryer which needs extra cash (50 TWD each use).

Room could had been cleaner, especially the toilet floor. We found live cockroach in the toilet shower.

Very close to Taipei main train station, close to xi men ding, walkable distance to many sights, and plenty of restaurants to choose. The room is clean and spacious, front desk is very helpful and friendly.

This hotel takes up 2 floors in a 10 floor building, which means you’re sharing elevators with many other businesses’ patrons or employees - so longer waiting time during rush hour. There is 1 instance where I have to wait for the next lift during my 1 night stay. You can hear faint noises from the street from hotel room. Not major issue, but a tad bit annoying.

Excellent location, walking distance from most major train lines. Enough amenities. Decent bed, decent shampoo, decent hairdryer, etc. Nothing particularly fantastic.

The lack of fresh air. Can't open windows even slightly. The whole room gets almost unbearable with steam after taking a shower. The shower floor wasn't very well-made, water wouldn't drain properly. Th sink was dirty, the gasket was held by tape? Not enough lighting for my taste.

Excellent location near public transport and restaurants. It took me 10 minutes to go from my room to the platform of the train! Friendly staff. At my request they ensured a vegetarian breakfast box. Although it wasn't clear on the pictures on Booking.com the room did indeed have windows.

The breakfast box didn't have many healthy items. Only 2 elevators, shared with occupants of other floors of the building.

Great location, only about 5 minutes walk to the nearest train station exit. The room was spacious enough to put all our luggage and not cramped at all. Bed was firm enough and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Will choose this place again if I do come back in future.

Although the windows were mostly tinted and unable to see the view outside, there was sufficient natural lighting in the room. It was also odd that there was no toilet roll holder and I wished there were more hooks to hang clothes.

Excellent location to travel outside Taipei and easily get back to the room if forgotten things. Very safe to walk at night and always handy to get breaky in the morning.

Everything perfect apart from a step to the bathroom,it quite high and sometimes may trip over at night time.

Location is super close to Taipei Main station, making it easy for airport transfer and MRT connect. Staff is nice and helpful. Necessary amenities and facilities are provided.

The size of the room is bit small but understandable (since the location is very strategic) The shower door cannot be closed completely so water was leaked out and it's difficult to dry.

The hotel is located in a commercial building with other hotels/companies. On the ground floor there is a McDonalds (for those who like it) and the street, even though it is not an avenue, is always busy, which is good if you are afraid of walking on empty streets. Room was clean and the bed was great. It was good value for money.

The shower stall in the bathroom was leaking, but it wasn't a problem.
