Taipei Sunny Hostel

Good clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. The location is excellent as it is close to both MRT train station and also the main Taipei train station for long distance and rapid trains to get to various parts of Taiwan. For a hostel, this could be considered a top-tier level accommodation as each room had own toilet and shower. The shared kitchen is well-equipped and there is tea and coffee available as well as a few snacks to enjoy for free. There is filtered water supply for drinking water so we could refill our water bottles before going out for the day.

The elevator lift is tiny and very slow. Going up to 7th floor took 2 minutes! The lift only operates from second floor so you have to carry your luggage up from the first floor to access the elevator. You can't flush toilet paper down the toilet and had to dispose of it in a bin in the toilet but I heard this was quite common in some cities in Taiwan including Taipei.

This was the third part of our stay after a brief visit to Japan. The extra luggage we left behind was again in our new rooms when we arrived back. We had a window room this time which could accommodate 6 people and was more spacious. This room was very nice and more comfortable. You could see Taipei 101 tower in the distance as well as the neighbouring park. Nice to be able to enjoy some view with greenery instead of the usual concrete jungle of Taipei city. Chiang Kai-Shek memorial hall is also visible and within 15 minutes walking distance. I recommend booking a room with a window rather than the windowless rooms if you can as it feels much nicer.

The location is great, about 10 minutes walk from Taipei Main Station. Close by to shops and eateries and bus stops with buses taking you to key locations. Room is clean and bed is comfortable. Overall, good value for money. Staff is friendly and helpful, provided clear instructions for late check-in way in advance.

There is a lift available but from 2nd floor onwards so be prepared to carry luggage up a flight of pretty steep stairs. Lift is a low speed elevator so it takes 2 minutes to get to the 7th floor. I appreciate that there is a lift but it really takes too long just to reach my room :( Room is rather small, will not be able to squeeze having 2 big luggages in the room. The sink was blocked when I was staying there and I had to use the tap in the shower to wash my hands.

Location is very near to Taipei main station. MRT (red line) "hospital station" and (Green line) "Ximen station" . "7-11" and "Family Mart" convenient store just outside the hostel. Very helpful staff.

Convenient location. Ease of access to Train and MRT transportation. Two convenience stores within one minute of the accomodation. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Single bunkbed room had more floor space than other rooms we previously stayed in so it felt roomier and not as cramped as some of the other rooms.

The window view on this side of the building was of the roofs of other building and resturants that were pumping out hot air from aircons. Quite noisy as a result and you can smell the cooking from below. However it was quiet if you closed the window. The ceiling needed a bit of a paint job and looked like there were dark patches (mold?)

Location: very central location, can be easily reached from the Taipei Main Station and NTU Hospital Station. Room: room is clean, tidy and well-maintained. Staff: very helpful and responsive. Overall: It's my second stay with them (the first was in 2018). Am pleasantly surprised to see the place is still well-maintained and the staff are still as hospitable as I remembered from 2018.

Accessing higher floors: note there is no lift access from the ground floor to first floor, though a small lift is available from first floor onwards. Staff would help carry the luggage up, but it might not be convenient if the traveller isn't very mobile.

-Loved almost everything! Location and amenities for a hostel are good! It's literally a walk in the park going to the nearest metro station. The hostel is located west side of the peace park and you just need to cross this park to get to the NTUH metro station (1 station away from Taipei Main Station), very convenient. 711 and Family Mart just a few meters away from the entrance. -Staff was very friendly and helpful -Free use of umbrellas was a plus plus! -Free water, tea, coffee and snacks at the common kitchen/dining hall also a plus plus! -Cheaply priced but worth it -At the time of booking and stay, this hostel had a score of 9.4 -Highly recommended for groups. We were 8 guests and we booked 2x quadruple rooms.

-No windows just in the particular room we booked, though I think I missed it in the room description when I booked the rooms. So my fault. -No bidet in the bathroom, but there's one in the ground floor toilet. -Size of the room we booked could have been bigger but with the price of the stay, I think it was okay and worth it. -Reception is only staffed until 5pm, but the staff arranged late self-check in for our group and it was smooth. Only downside is if you are leaving your luggage, you will have to come back for them before the staff goes home at 5. But this was clearly explained by the staff so it's up to you to make the compromise. -Still worth recommending for your budget stay!

The location, the washing machine, dryer, kitchen, water, free snack and the flexibility of place even when no staff is around. Lots of mini markets, atms and restaurants around. It was close to the main station and HSR.

The room was so small for four people, so we took turns to stay at kitchen while some were taking baths. We did not like the sound of the water pipes and the thin walls. You can hear people next door while they watching tv, walking on the corridor or talking.

Most I like this hostel is their location, convenient to 228 peace park, it is beautiful. The NTU station is located in the park. From the hostel to the right side is going to Ximen. It is worth walking down to have the RuRUO FAN( Braise Mince pork rice) in Ximen. Great location! However, nothing is perfect. If you stay on the first floor, you probably need to carry up your heavy lunggage. Because the small elevator is on the 2nd floor.

The location was great, near the park and near the subway (3-5 minutes walk) the room was small but very clean, towels are upon request and the staff are great. There is no deposit as well. all in all our stay is comfortable at a low price. must visit Taiwan again.

the room are not sound proof thats why the guest from other rooms can heard my baby while crying at night same goes with us when the nearby rooms used to stay out late, there is no reception as well after 5:00 PM
