Himku Hotel - adult only0

Himku is definitely the best hotel I’ve stayed in Thailand so far. I booked for 2 nights at the beginning, as soon as I stepped into the building, I decided to extend my stay. The whole building has been newly rebuilt inside and out. A beautiful and pleasant lobby, the hall way has its charm with beautiful decorations. The room is spacious and absolutely spotless. I loved the huge window, enjoyed sunrise and sunset everyday. Mattress and pillows were extra comfortable, linens and towels were hygienic. Although there wasn’t breakfast provided, there was different snacks placed in front of door every morning. Glass bottle water provided everyday. Bathroom and toilet was clean, the only thing that I’m not used to is taking shower without a sealed door, made water splashed a little. And shower pressure could be a little weak sometime. The first day I arrived was Sunday, so I walked to Sunday market and it was less than 5 minutes by walk. Although the location is super convenient, there wasn’t any noise from outside. I could sleep without any issue despite I’m a very light sleeper. If there is any request I could make, then it’ll be having Netflix/YouTube or a way to play music on TV. I loved staying in and totally felt like home. 100% recommend to whoever coming to Chiang Mai.

Very friendly hosts and lovely hotel. No breakfast but everyday provide free snacks as a souvenir in front of the room. Bright and spacious room, with comfortable bed. The bathroom is big enough. Great location, within 5 min walk to Tha Phae Gate and Sunday Night Market. Restaurants, bars are close by. We had a pleasant stay.

It is simply beautiful! The design, finish, materials, simplicity, and story are all top notch. I like their ethos of reusing local resources. And it is adult only! No running or shouting children to wake you up early in the morning. The location is great, near to everything I needed. A short walk to Thapae Gate of the old city, and yet it was so quiet. The staff were wonderful and the owner is flexible and gracious.

Location was accessible and convenient, especially when you want to explore the old city (cafes, temples) and its weekend night markets. The owner and staff were very accommodating, giving us very good recommendations and answering our requests every time. The room and lobby looks just as they do in the pictures. The custom-made designs and overall aesthetic of the hotel was beautiful. We also looked forward to the morning snacks provided daily, all delicious!

Nothing to complain about.

Good location Friendly owners Clean New The amount of effort they spend in details: to make it cleaner, to give their guest a breakfast treat, to be there for check in and check out, their logo on towels, soaps,… I would for sure come back!

The only thing that could improve is maybe the shower, the shower head/ rain shower is fine, just the water pressure and temperature of water sometimes changed in my room. Maybe a thermostatic shower could be a solution?

Our stay at himku hotel was very good. Location was good, new and modern hotel, helpful staff. There’s no elevator but the staff helped us with our luggage. The rooms are very spacious and well decorated. The only problems were a bunch of geckos 🦎 that found their way into the room… And the VERY LOW water pressure in the shower. Overall we enjoyed our time and we would recommend it. 7.5/10

The location was fantastic and easy to get to anywhere you needed to go. Rooms were clean and spacious. We were lucky enough to meet the owner and she was able to give us some great recommendations in the area. Would highly recommend staying here. We can’t wait to visit again. Himku was a very nice hotel. Loved reading about the history in the little book in room. Room was modern, clean and comfortable with personal touches. Close to many cafe's, massages and markets. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

One night there was maintenance being done on the road right outside hotel.

Everything! The owner is the loveliest person in the world - makes you feel like part of the family. The hotel is fabulous, chic and spotless. Cleaned everyday. Little edible presents also left outside room each morning!

I loved my stay at the fairly new Himku Hotel. Great family history. Wonderful design and attention to detail. Super clean and well maintained. An oasis on the edge of old town (great location). The owners are super sweet and always up for a nice chat. I got great recommendations for places to dine. I’ll be back for sure!
