Room was clean and had a good view. We were travelling in a group of 8 and we had our rooms all bunched together which made everything very convenient. The location was great, only a 5 minute walk from the main night bazaar area, 711 only a 2 minute walk away so we had everything we needed.
Lack of bathroom amenities was my only bother. We ran out of toilet paper more than once and had to use tissues instead or buy our own from 711. They never provided a second roll as a backup. This happened in other hotels we stayed in across Thailand.

we wanted to be fairly close to the night market and a bar we were meeting up with friends with, so the Star fitted the bill there. It was reasonably cheap and comfortable and met our expectations for location, etc.
Breakfast could have been better, it felt like a lot had run out by the time we had breakfast, but there was a coach party also staying, so maybe we timed it wrong...

We have enjoyed everything during our stay. Seems that Star Hotel has been under renovations and looks great. Very new lobby and amazing pool, very welcoming staff and good breakfast. 100% recommended.

The very accomodating staff especially the cleaning guy on the 4th floor. Front of house good to. Very quiet and convenient location.
My only gripe was the lack of shade over the windows on the west side.

Very good location. In a small side soi, very quiet at night. Big room. Classic decor. Good value for the price. Would go back next time in Chiang Mai.
Not a dislike but an observation. The hotel had obviously had some modernization, but the results were not of a high quality.

Everything is great and my favorite hotel in Chiang Mai. The staff go out of their way to help each hotel guest and very hospitable and friendly. I really enjoy the breakfast too.

Staff is fabulous. Rooms are spacious and clean. Location is great. 2 minutes walk to the night bazaar. There is a pool on the other building.
Internet is unstable at the room. Air con died after 2 days and we had to change a room.
