Kimpton Kitalay Samui, an IHG Hotel

Gorgeous hotel, probably our favourite that we visited this trip on the island - will definitely be coming back The pool area is gorgeous Busy beach which is fun to walk around and explore with lots of massages everywhere. We also had a drink and watched a fire show on the beach nearby in the evening. The staff are lovely and friendly A special shout-out to the loveliest girl we met in reception who helped us check-in: Pam. She was so accommodating and kind to us, even went out of her way to get something for me from the shop that I needed! She is a great asset to the hotel. The garden villa room is the one to stay in for sure - beautiful sunbathing area, large swimming pool, spacious room, outdoor and indoor shower, bright bathroom, chrome cast on tv which allowed us to connect our phone and Netflix to, portable speaker. Modern trendy interior and layout which was beautiful!

This is heaven on earth, absolutely stunning hotel, everything was perfect! beach and swimming pool are amazing, the whole hotel area is beautiful, great kids room, tasty breakfasts (both a la carte and buffet), the stuff was very nice and friendly, the room was huge and very well designed. every day the hotel staff brought some tiny sweet surprises with a note and it was so cute! the restaurant (Fish) was pricy but their Tuna Tartar was the best we’ve ever ate. Really , that was the best hotel in Thailand by far! btw there is a massage place called Anna’s, the closest to the hotel, and she was really the best we experienced. other massages on the street were pretty bad.

the spa was extremely expensive for Thailand, it just doesn’t make any sense. but as I wrote very much recommended Anne’s massage close to the hotel, they make home made coconut oil and Anna is super professional.

Outstanding breakfast buffet including local thai food, very good coffee beverages and excellent inhouse pastries. Great design (restaurants, bars, pool area, rooms). Amazing view from balcony with ocean view. Very friendly and good housekeeping. Very good gym with modern equipment (cardio area & weights area) as well as good sports classes (e.g. yin yoga) / watersports activities. Not used but noted: Great offers for family with little kids.

Closet too small for two persons. Noisy due to open bathroom concept (swingdoor) - limited privacy and possibillity to wake up. Dinner portions are quite small especially in half board.

modern style decoration, breakfast tasty and with warm service, room access to swimming pool is convenient especially if you have boy with you. Gym with nice facilities. Beach BBQ well organized with firework shows. Reception service warm and friendly. QR code scanning food order is good

room cleaning service no change of towers is bad. swimming pool not well cleaned. Lunch service at Cafe some good someone cold. Price paid is comparatively over valued with the size of the room and service offered.

This hotel has to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed at. Impeccable design and taste for decorating and furnishing the rooms. The beach is also very nice, clean and calm for swimming. The main pool is huge and gorgeous. Breakfast is amazing with plenty of choices. The kids club and the nannies who work there truly made our holiday - our son loved going there every day, it's heaven for kids. Spa experience was also great. The bar next to Fishhouse was our favourite, shoutout to O the lovely bartender.

Guest experience could be improved with the hosts reacting faster to requests. There was also not much of a personal touch, our host just passed by us a few times without checking in and asking how we are. We found that a bit strange. We also had problems with the A/C twice and had sleepless nights yet all they offered was a free airport transfer worth 600Bht. The "snake" lights on the palmtrees have cheap effect and they didn't fit with the rest of the tasteful decoration.

This was honestly the best hotel we have been to so far. It is impressive how professional, friendly and considerate not a single staff member but every single person working there was. E.g. when we walked near someone with a leaf blower at work, they stopped their work and greeted us and waited until we were far away so we would not be bothered by the noise. When we brought back the bikes we used from the hotel, someone came running out so we didn't have to move the bikes to where they belong. Our blankets got replaced twice a day and the room service was thorough. The breakfast was amazing and I can highly recommend the the fish restaurant as well for dinner. Everything about the room and the hotel was very modern and felt spacious. We used the cleaning service once and the shirts were pressed better than I could myself. There was really nothing that we felt needed to be improved.

Brand new property and facilities, huge swimming pools, friendly and helpful staff, aesthetically pleasing design, beach access and complimentary kayaks, SUP paddle boards and beach cruiser bikes

Family oriented property, really the only thing I wasn't thrilled about the property but Koh Samui is a family resort destination so it was understandable and honestly the kids weren't too bothersome/noisy, just in the main pool area

the grounds are beautiful, excellent location for the beach, rooms are lovely as well. cleaning staff excellent although some days it took for ever for them to get round to our room.

I wasn’t happy we had to wait for our room to be ready way after 3pm not enough sun beds for the number of people there, sadly too many families with kids there for us who are selfish and take all the sunbeds all day only to use them for a couple hours, staff did not remove there stuff after 30 mins even though it says they will. was a shame our pool access room lost sun early afternoon and there was no where to sunbathe except in the pool.

+ We booked ocean view room 633-635. Spacious, clean, and have a nice big balcony with daybed, direct view to the sea + Hotel provides up to 5 activities per day, each for adults and kids, the morning yoga was great + Attention to details, we mentioned that we are travelling with kids. They provide a small dolphin plushy in our kid's room, and they provide room sandals and bath robe kid's size. I need to mention Khun Krys, the front office, he was very helpful. + The swimming pool and beach are nice and clean and have many beach/pool bed (but the hotel is not that full so I have no issue to get either beach bed or pool bed at any day). + They help us with early check in. We arrived at 12, and we got our 1st room before 13 and our 2nd room at 14.

- We did not get connecting room, while we have clearly put in our booking. There was one room in between mine and the kids. It was ok, but a bit disappointed as initially they confirmed for the connecting room. - The aircon in myroom somehow makes an on and off drilling noise every night. On the 2nd day, I reported it verbally to a lady (i assume the manager on duty) as I was about to go to my day tour, she said they would fix it. I did not get any update and it was not fixed until my last day. - Bfast, the food is ok, but the variation can be improved

Everything. But most of all the whole design, attentive staff, wonderful breakfast and overall service. Everything was maintained very well. It was exceptional. Please keep doing what you do! The mobile ordering concept was great. The guest can order amenities, services and food (room service as well as in any of the hotel restaurants) through their mobile device. It’s optional, ording in person is possible as well. It made everything so much more convenient.

I can’t say there was anything I didn’t like. But it would be great to have a bar that’s open longer at night to have drinks by the beach.
