My husband and I wanted an adventure, and that is exactly what we got. Once we traveled to Homer I had a hard time trying to find a place to stay. Luckily I found Driftwood. I reserved two nights but then arrived 1 day earlier than planned. They not only helped me with the additional night, they put us in a beautiful beach house so that we could stay in the same room all three nights, without having to move. If I ever return to Alaska that is where I will be staying.

This is my wife's favorite place to stay in Homer. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The hotel is right downtown in Old Town homer and two minutes from Bishops Beach. You can walk to art galleries and the best bakery in town. The staff are friendly and helpful and you can book a variety of tours, trips and charters at the front desk. The hotel lobby is clean and cozy. Everything is Homer is expensive but Driftwood Inn is near the bottom of the price range and an excellent value for the price.
The room we stayed in was small but exactly as advertised. You know what you are getting when you make the reservation. The hotel has a variety of options with a range of prices. Visit their website to find out more.

Priscilla and her family were extremely helpful in ensuring that I enjoyed my stay. The pillows and the bed were the most comfortable that I have ever experience at a hotel/motel before, just wonderful. This property was in the best spot for food and amazing views. Thank you and will be seeing you soon!
The only thing was that I was not able to get into the hotel one night due to not being given the information needed to enter the property after hours. I ended up waiting for about 10-15 minutes before I was able to enter the property and even then, I was not able to get in contact with anyone from the property by phone or otherwise.

Great place to stay. The staff were friendly, rooms were clean, and common areas cozy and quaint. There’s a great deck for hanging out and easy access to the beach. The photo with the view from our room shows the roof of the deck that has multiple seating areas and a grill.
If I had to pick something I didn’t like, I guess it’s that the bathroom in our room was very small. Worked out fine, though, since there are 2 large shared baths down the hall (a great convenience we didn’t realize when booking).

I thought this was a very economical option for us to be able to experience Homer down near the spot and was met with a quante and darling Inn vibe. I appreciated the option and availability and was pleased with our stay. I also liked the access to dining, morning and night!

The atmosphere was fantastic. It felt cozy and warm. If you are looking for an affordable, comfortable place to rest your head after a long day then this is the place for you. Also, it is located just across the street from Aj's tavern and steakhouse which was delicious.
That you have to share a bathroom with all the other patrons. However, there aren't many rooms so this was easy enough for me and my family.

The motel is close to restaurants, Safeway, and the beach. The staff will help you book activities around town and really want you to enjoy your stay in Homer. There are shared bathrooms in the main area but other rooms have their own. There are RV places with full hook ups and shower facilities.
