Days Inn by Wyndham Holbrook

We stayed at the Days Inn in Holbrook so we could visit the Petrified Forest National Park and Painted desert, on a road trip around Arizona. We were happy with the breakfast and the room, nothing special but a great value for a quick 1-night stay. The person at the front desk when we checked in was very pleasant. We were able to enter the Petrified Forest / Painted Desert in late afternoon and stay until 7PM which was excellent. We had dinner at a local diner nearby, the food there was good and the staff friendly.

Breakfast and the room were exceptional, very clean and well equipped. Both nights I parked directly in front of my door, despite the facility apparently being fully booked. I checked in early (between 3 and 4PM) to assure getting a ground-floor room and superb wi-fi. If I had checked in later, perhaps it would not have gone so well, this is close to a big tourist draw, the Petrified Forest. Every single license plate but mine in the full parking lot was from out of state.

Nothing is ever perfect. It's still toasty in September in Arizona, and my side of the facility faced west, so the room was quite warm when I checked in and took a little while for the A/C to cool it off. Despite the room being impeccably clean, the outside steps and parking lot needed a good sweeping. I did notice a 1-inch diameter brown spider on the bathroom floor the 2nd morning, but hey, it's Arizona. Returning from my activities on the 2nd day I found myself locked out of my room, the key card had apparently not been coded for the 2nd night or had malfunctioned, requiring a trip to reception where it was cheerfully recoded.

Conveniently located just off Route 66 for a one night stay. The room was spacious, clean and quiet with good Wi-Fi. Young male receptionist was friendly and welcoming Indoor pool on site although we didn’t use it

When booking we had failed to realise that there were rooms on a second floor. There was no lift which meant lugging suitcases up the stairs. Breakfast was ok but no yoghurt or fruit for a healthy start to the day

The room was fairly clean and the beds were comfortable. We like a nice breakfast to start the day and it was actually better than we expected.

Unfortunately the bathroom sink was plugged and draining slowly. The front desk immediately came to our room and pulled a very smelly clump of hair out of the drain. The sink still had a sewer smell coming from it.

Breakfast was good…room was nice..bed was comfortable.

Booked our room through booking and I thought I booked 2 beds but when I got there they gave us one queen bed. My husband is disabled and has pain and he needs a bed himself so we told them and they charged us more to get two beds. Also no grass area for your pets.

The room was clean and comfortable. The walls were thin but our neighbors were quiet. Good hot water in the shower. It had a fridge and microwave. Breakfast was eggs and sausage, waffles, toast, muffins, oatmeal.

The upholstered chair in the room needed a shampooing.

Pool was warm and hot tub great, clean rooms, only downside was there were cockroaches outside the rooms and one snuck into our room. So maybe a spray would be good. Great breakfast and a great stay. Will definitely come again!

Lots Of bugs outside the room-one snuck in, so some pest control spray would help. Clean rooms, loved the pool and hot tub. Can’t wait to come back to visit family and stay there.

The room was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was really happy to see the staff wearing masks and that visitors were requested to wear them in public areas (many people didn't, however). The hotel is in a good location for driving to The Petrified Forest National Park, as well as restaurants and convenience stores close by. Very satisfied.

Nothing springs to mind.

The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the jetted tub was a major plus! We had a private outdoor entrance with a balcony, and it was nice to step outside when we wanted without having to parade past the front desk. 😀 Staff were all friendly.

The location was close enough to everything we wanted to do in Holbrook. The building is old and well kept. The room was pretty good sized and comfy.

It rained and snowed while we we're there. There was a roof leak in the lobby area, which was unfortunate.. The staff did a great job and kept the floor dry.
